I found the necklace, tucked in a crevice between two boulders. It was an unremarkable piece of jewelry, a simple chain with a golden pendant in the shape of a triangle. The chain was covered in dust and grime, but the pendant itself was gleaming and polished.

I wiped the dirt away with my hand, but I couldn't make out what the symbol was supposed to be. I ran my finger along its edges to clear away the last bits of soil. As soon as it made contact with my thumb, though, I felt myself being pulled forward into darkness.

My stomach lurched as I tumbled through space towards an unknown destination. The feeling lasted only for a few seconds before fading into nausea, but when it disappeared I found myself standing on soft grass with no memory of how I got there.

I looked around and immediately recognized the place as an English meadow - something you don't see much anymore in these days where most people live in cities. Birdsong filled the air and butterflies chased each other across the field while cows roamed freely nearby. In front of me stood a stone fence that separated me from a vast expanse of green hills dotted with sheep and dotted with trees that were so thick that they blocked out the sunlight at ground level and grew into a canopy above them like a giant dome over their heads. It looked like heaven had been put on earth here.

But something wasn't quite right about this place. The air felt too still, too quiet, too subdued somehow - like these animals knew that they were protected by something more powerful than themselves, and so they didn't bother to make any noise or even move around except when they needed to eat or sleep or breed. There was something comforting about it though - I could feel it lulling me into a sense of calmness that I hadn't experienced since childhood (when we lived near woods far away from civilization). It was almost reassuring to know that nature still had secrets left to reveal; secrets that would never be discovered by man because he had no need for them any longer.

I felt drawn down one of those green rolling hills to get closer to the ground beneath my feet and see if I could find anything unusual about this place that would explain why I had been brought here. My legs carried me without hesitation in the direction of a small stream which wound its way through some rocks and down towards the valley floor until it reached an old stonewall that looked like it used to be part of a larger house or building somewhere nearby, but now lay rotting on its side like an ancient corpse whose bones have been picked clean by vermin such as myself. Behind it sat an oak tree whose branches appeared ready to burst forth with ripe fruit at any moment - except that they seemed to be empty at first glance and just waiting patiently for whatever force controlled them to decide when they should bear fruit again.

The stream went up over a steep ridge in front of me and disappeared behind it before I could reach its source. But then I noticed something unusual about this hillside - instead of having grass all over it there were patches where nothing grew at all yet where everything else around it remained lush and green - almost as if nature had been frightened off from this part of the world but couldn't bring itself to leave altogether so she settled for leaving just enough life in this spot to sustain those who did not fear her presence here (or perhaps she simply didn't care about them at all). Most of those patches were smaller than my head - if you didn't know what you were looking for you may never notice them at all - but in one spot next to my foot there was one so big that I couldn't help but kneel down next to it so that I could examine it more closely.

As soon as my fingers touched the ground I felt myself being pulled forward again, but this time into darkness instead of light - so black that I couldn't even see my own hands in front of my face even though they were only inches from my eyes! Eventually though, after what seemed like an eternity spent bouncing between two identical planes of existence (the one where there is light for those who can handle it; and the other where there is nothing for those who cannot), I saw light again...

"Hello?" said someone's voice suddenly nearby, startling me so badly that I fell backwards onto my rump and let go of the patch of earth beneath me which disappeared instantly back into darkness once more, taking me with it into another dimension until finally we reached our destination: A dark room lit only by candles on every wall which cast deep shadows onto faces full of worry as they gathered around what appeared to be...a sickbed? There were four men present who stared at me suspiciously while making sure not to turn their backs on me. One sat on his knees at the end of his bed slowly shaking his head back and forth while muttering incoherently under his breath; another stood next him gripping his shoulders tightly as if trying desperately not te lose him in case he tried jumping out a window or something; another sat on top a dresser watching anxiously from across the room; and finally there was one man standing behind all three others who kept glancing back towards him for encouragement whenever he began feeling overwhelmed by his own emotions (which seemed pretty often judging by how frequently he did this).

"Are you real?" said one quietly from somewhere behind me as he watched intently for any signs that might suggest otherwise - as if expecting me disappear at any moment now like smoke up someone's sleeve.

"Of course," said another skeptically,"he's made out of flesh and blood just like us." "Yeah," said another confidently,"but look at how big he is! At least eight feet tall!" He turned towards one man standing beside him,"You do remember telling us about your theory about giants being real right? And now here's proof right before our eyes!" "We're not fucking giants!" protested another defensively,"we're just normal-sized people who've been cursed." He sighed wearily as he stared down at someone lying motionless in bed before him."Trust me when i say there's no difference."
