Pirates and Sea Monsters of Love
·
Published 3/14/2023Two daring 14th Century Italian adventurers, Hellen and Diana, boldly set sail on a perilous voyage fraught with sea monsters and pirates - all for the sake of forbidden love, as well as a larger, issue-oriented cause.
I lay motionless in the captain's quarters. My chest rose and fell with each labored breath, my body bruised and beaten, my clothes soaked in blood. The familiar scent of saltwater wafted through the open porthole and I could hear a faint creaking sound, echoing in the dark room. The last vestiges of consciousness slowly faded as darkness enveloped me.

My eyes fluttered open and I gazed around the room that now seemed so unfamiliar. My vision was blurry, but a soft yellow light appeared to be emanating from beneath a door at the far end of the room. Curiosity got the better of me and I hoisted myself up onto my elbows. A sudden rush of nausea forced me back down onto the soft bed where I waited for it to pass. Confused by this unexpected turn of events, I tried again, only to have the same thing happen. After several minutes spent lying on my side watching waves roll beneath me, I realized that I was not on a ship at all, but rather lying in a bed.
I sat up slowly and looked around at my surroundings. It was clear that this room was very old, but was also well-maintained. The walls were made of rough stone with antique wooden beams running across them at various intervals. An old dresser stood against one wall with an ornate mirror attached to it that reflected my disheveled appearance back at me. Another wall had a window looking out upon rolling hills filled with vibrant green grass and what looked like apple trees swaying in the wind just outside the window. Still another wall was covered with old paintings depicting various nautical scenes: men rowing ships through choppy seas or standing on deck waving their swords menacingly at unseen enemies lurking just beyond their view; large sea monsters attacking unsuspecting ships; women clad in flowing dresses standing side by side with men dressed in odd armor as they battled these fearsome beasts; pirates boarding merchant ships as frightened crewmen scrambled over themselves to jump into the ocean; mermaids lounging on rocky outcroppings while they gazed up at passing ships filled with men staring back down at them hungrily; magnificent sailing vessels speeding across calm oceans while families waved excitedly from within their cabins; a ragged looking woman holding her head in dismay as another woman danced across her floor on cloven feet while baring her fangs at her helpless victim...
"What is going on?" I asked aloud as I picked up what looked like an old journal sitting on top of the dresser. "This doesn't make any sense."
"It makes perfect sense," said a voice behind me. "You've been asleep for quite some time."
I whirled around and nearly fell off the bed when I saw who had spoken to me. Standing before me with his arms crossed over his broad chest was none other than Zeus himself standing there in all his splendor wearing his trademark white robe and holding his royal scepter aloft as if to remind everyone that he was still king of Olympus. His long white hair and flowing beard gave him a fatherly appearance that contradicted his fierce red eyes which were now focused squarely on me as he walked over to take a seat beside me on the bed.
"Zeus!" I exclaimed, surprised to see him here in this place which looked more like a living museum than someone's bedroom! "It can't be! Are you real? Or am I dreaming?"
Zeus chuckled at this question before answering me. "I'm afraid not," he said softly as he stroked his long beard thoughtfully while gazing out upon the countryside beyond us through the window before us. "You are indeed very much awake..." He trailed off after saying this as if lost in contemplation of something troubling him greatly...
I couldn't help it and my nightgown fell to the floor exposing my breasts. I turned to see Hellen, the same thing had happened to her and now those big breasts that she had always loved they were in full view of the God of lust.
