"Bruno, be careful out there in the forest," Mom Eli warned, her trunk gently caressing Bruno's cheek. "We don't want you getting lost."

"Don't worry, Mom," Bruno replied with a confident smile. "I'll be fine. I know my way around."

Dad Rob nodded his head in agreement. "Just remember to stay close and come home before dark," he said.

Bruno's younger sister, Brina, looked up at him with wide eyes. "Can I come with you, Bruno?" she asked eagerly.

Bruno chuckled and ruffled Brina's hair with his trunk. "Not this time, little sis," he said kindly. "It's a big elephant adventure for me today."

Brina pouted but quickly recovered her excitement. "Okay, have fun!" she exclaimed.

With one last goodbye to his family, Bruno set off into the forest. He ambled along the familiar paths, enjoying the warm sunshine on his back and the gentle rustle of leaves in the breeze.

As he explored deeper into the forest, however, Bruno realized that he had strayed farther than he had intended. The trees grew taller and thicker around him, casting long shadows on the ground.

"I should turn back now," Bruno thought to himself as he looked around for any familiar landmarks.

But no matter which way he turned or how hard he listened, everything seemed unfamiliar to him. Panic started to rise within him as he realized that he was lost.

Just as tears began to well up in his eyes, a deep rumbling voice broke through the silence of the forest.

"Lost are we?" it asked.

Bruno turned towards the sound and gasped in surprise. There before him stood a magnificent dragon with shimmering emerald scales and golden eyes that glowed like fire.

The dragon smiled kindly at Bruno and said again, "Lost are we?"

Bruno nodded, his ears drooping. "Yes," he admitted sadly. "I don't know how to get back home."

The dragon's golden eyes sparkled with understanding. "Well, fear not, young elephant," he said. "For I am a dragon of great wisdom and I can help you find your way home."

Bruno's heart leaped with hope. "You can?" he asked eagerly.

The dragon nodded and beckoned for Bruno to follow him. As they walked through the forest together, the dragon shared his knowledge of the land, pointing out landmarks and teaching Bruno how to navigate using the position of the sun.

Before long, Bruno could see a break in the trees ahead and recognized it as the clearing near his home.

"I know where I am now!" Bruno exclaimed happily.

The dragon smiled proudly at him. "You see, young elephant," he said. "Sometimes, all we need is a little help from a friend to find our way."

Bruno thanked the dragon profusely for his guidance and promised to never forget what he had learned.

As Bruno made his way back home, he couldn't wait to tell his family about his adventure and the wise dragon who had helped him.

Sure enough, when Bruno arrived at the edge of the clearing, Mom Eli rushed over to greet him with worried eyes and an outstretched trunk.

"Bruno! There you are!" she exclaimed with relief. "We were so worried about you!"

Dad Rob and Brina came running over too, their faces filled with a mixture of worry and excitement.

"Bruno! You're back!" Brina squealed happily as she wrapped her trunk around her big brother in a tight hug.

Bruno hugged them all back tightly and then began excitedly recounting his adventure in the forest and how he had gotten lost but found his way home with the help of a wise dragon.

His family listened with wide eyes and smiles on their faces, proud of their brave little elephant and grateful to the dragon who had looked out for him.

From that day on, Bruno never ventured too far into the forest without his family by his side. And whenever he saw a dragonfly flitting among the trees, he would smile and remember the wise dragon who had helped him find his way home.

And so, Bruno lived happily ever after in the forest with Mom Eli, Dad Rob, and Brina, always remembering the importance of family and friendship.
