The Wordpower of Cyrana

Cyrana was just a small child when her grandmother showed her the old book kept in her wooden trunk. Written on a page with curled edges and aged paper, was a letter that was addressed to "the last hair of my head". When asked,Grandma explained it was written by a distant ancestor of theirs that had lived in Europa during ancient times. For a long time afterwards, this letter was all that occupied her days attempting to decipher its contents, uncover the mysterious writer's identity and the true meaning behind these words. Everyone in her family, however, expected her to settle down and work the farm like the many generations of women before her. But Cyrana had dreams beyond what a small village could offer, and nothing would stop her from pursuit of answers.

A visit from a traveling bard sent Cyrana's world spinning. Armed with stories of strange travels and adventurous lives, the bard relayed to her heartfelt accounts of distant lands and interesting characters living there. The bard seemed to understand her quest and guided her across the continent with his words. One exotic location seemed like the dream she had been looking for, and Cyrana was determined to stay and find the answer she was looking for no matter the cost. She would have to make difficult compromises to do so, and although every step was full of emotion, she knew she was going in the right direction to fulfill her destiny. Along her journey with the bard, Cyrana encountered stories of other mysterious travelers possessing great power through wordplay filled stories that helped her hone her own understanding of sarcasm and poetry.

Cyrana eventually found her way to a cliff overlooking one of the most amazing views in all of Europa, and here she decided to confront her fears and take the leap towards the life she always wanted. Nothing but the sound of the winds over the meadow surrounded her, as she screamed and threw her letter into the wind - begging its mysterious ancestor for answers to her identity and what she must do. When Cyrana opened her eyes after being enveloped in the wind, she felt as if her life was about to completely change.

Unsurprisingly, the letter appeared right in her hands, somehow having returned with an answer to her questions. Deeply overwhelmed by this new knowledge, Cyrana allowed the words to reveal their true significance. Through the power of her ancestor's letter, she finally understood the origin of her abilities and found the courage to walk away from the shackles placed on her, even if it was impossible at first. The power in the language revealed to her the strength of emotions that could be conveyed through interpretative stories and replaced her own sarcasm as a defense mechanism with skillful words arranged in a way that opened hearts and minds of readers. Finally liberated from the expectations of her family, Cyrana had found her purpose in life, and she ran lightly and free towards her own future.
