Unstoppable Love: Eugene and Emma's High School Romance

I was thoroughly exhausted and on the verge of collapse when I finally reached my room. It had been a long day and I didn't even want to think about how bad the next day was going to be. There was a lot of things I needed to do in order to prepare for the game. As soon as I unlocked the door, I almost broke it down when I threw myself at my bed.

"I need food," i said to myself before I rolled off my bed, walked towards my bag and pulled out a granola bar. "And water," I added before walking towards the mini fridge that sat beside my desk. After chugging down two bottles of water in record speed, I felt some energy returning to me. A smile crept upon my face as I thought about Emma's beautiful face.

Emma and I have been dating for only 3 months but it felt like we've been together since forever. We met during orientation week and she had caught my attention ever since then, but it wasn't until freshman week when we actually started talking, little by little until one thing led to another; we were officially together.

I looked at the clock above my desk and noticed that it was already almost midnight. Since it was already late and I knew tomorrow was going to be hell for me, I decided to just sleep now instead of waiting for Emma to message me which would most likely never happen tonight because she wanted to study for her tests tomorrow.

As soon as I rolled onto my side, something fell out of my pocket. Groggily, I grabbed hold of whatever it was and opened my eyes slowly so it wouldn't hurt too much. When I opened them fully, however, all thoughts about the pain disappeared instantly because what laid on top of my palm was a picture of Emma smiling brightly with her beautiful blue eyes gleaming brightly with happiness. My chest tightened at the sight of her face and without thinking twice, I got up from bed and grabbed a piece of paper from above my desk along with pen before sitting back down on my bed.

"To Emma," i wrote before pausing momentarily in thought. "You are truly an angel sent from heaven," i continued after a few seconds have passed by while deep in thought. "Your smile brightens up every corner of this world ever since the first time you smiled at me during orientation week."

I paused again for a few more seconds before continuing writing again. "Every day that passes by with you makes me love you more than the day before."

A smile crept upon my face as warmth filled my heart with happiness at those words that came out off my own mouth before being written down on paper thanks to this stupid idea that popped into my head this night which made me take out this old journal from way back when high school started which later led me taking out this picture of Emma when she was still in high school so she would be able to see how we were back then while also making sure she would know how much she has changed over the years despite wanting her to always stay exactly how she is now which is a perfect angel sent from heaven; someone who is loved deeply by myself; someone who has helped change me into who I am right now; someone whom is my girlfriend; someone whom is going to be married someday; someone who is Emma Kelly-Parker."
