Strider and Tuk: A Fishy Adventure

Strider was a street cat in the bustling city of 4th century Egypt—a scavenger, looking to spy some fish to fill his hungry belly. He could often be seen meandering through alleyways and backstreets, his small companion— rat named Tuk—close at his side.

Merely surviving in the mysterious and intimidating environment of downtown brought enough challenges, let alone scrounging the never-sufficient dock-fish he desired. Despite the menacing tone the city inspired, Strider’s will could not be quelled—armed with only his resourcefulness, street-smarts, and Tuk serving as his shoulder sidekick, he managed to make do.

As he persisted in his quest to possess a plenitude of fish, day-by-day, Strider and Tuk were tangled deeper and deeper into the intricate and complex web of the criminal underworld that reverberated throughout the city. Amidst the hustle and bustle of the far shore—packed with nooks and crannies, creeps and crooks—Strider and Tuk all at an abrupt moment heard an oppressively, authoritative voice usurping the city atmosphere. Startled yet wary, they never got a far glimpse of whoever was speaking, or an answer as to why they had become a target of rabid interest.

Playing their cards close and picking the moments of those who trespassed their stepped-on boundary, Strider and Tuk finally managed to uncover the plot, full of familial condemnations and regrets. Strider's immense presence carved out a crevice into their storyline, allowing them shoulder their way out of the situation.
