Queen of Aliens

The first thing I did was find a place to stay. The market district would be the best place to start looking for a new home. It looked like it was close enough to the castle and far away from the slums.

The market district had a huge amount of shops, taverns, and apartments. I walked up to an attractive man who seemed to be in his late 20s. He wore his brown hair short and was dressed in loose-fitting clothes. I asked if he had any rooms to rent, as I didn’t have much money on me at the time.

“I do have one room left, but it won’t be cheap. It’s only $300 per week,” he told me with a smile.

I knew that wasn’t cheap by any means, but I wasn’t going to let that stop me from finding a place to stay. With my ‘charm’ ability maxed out, I used it on him and successfully lowered the price down to $250 per week. He took my money and gave me a key to the room upstairs with a smile on his face. I smiled back at him as I walked towards my new apartment.

I entered my apartment and closed the door behind me before walking towards the window looking out over part of the market district. At least this would be my home until I got enough money saved up to buy a house or something nicer than an apartment. That would take months though, which was fine since males are considered second-class citizens here on this planet and they don’t work very long before they die of exhaustion.

Since this planet is ruled by females and males are considered subservient, only the strongest survive for more than two years and live long enough for their bodies to fully mature into adults after five years. I sighed as I thought about how much fun life would be once most of these males were gone from society because I was going to be one of those people who lived for more than just a few years here on this planet.

I sat down on my bed and stared at my hands for several minutes as I thought about how good it felt when I finally got away from that horrible planet where all males were forced into slavery against their will while being treated like cattle their entire lives while working in some terrible factory that produced food for humans living on Earth, which is what this planet used to be called before we took over during our last invasion phase over 2000 years ago. Our people once lived on another distant planet, so far away that even using warp technology, it took over two weeks to reach with warp 5 ships. These vessels were fast but had a limited energy source that required charging over three months before resuming travel.

Due to the immense costs and safety concerns, space exploration dwindled, and each species began settling on planets within their solar systems. These civilizations slowly evolved into either peaceful or warlike societies based on their proximity to resources and interactions with other species. This dictated whether they would inevitably face invading forces that could exploit their vulnerabilities, regardless of their technological advancements or resource abundance.

Our conquest of Earth was spurred by the desire to capitalize on its resources, and with advancements in navigation technology for detecting lifeforms, we can now also target more planets for future invasions. No longer do we have to wait for sapient beings to stumble across our path, as we are now in a position to colonize other worlds and gain the upper hand by knowing where every sapient being resides within the galaxy. This will prevent others from unexpectedly arriving at our doorstep, allowing us to exert control more efficiently.
