A Garden Within the Stars
·
Published 6/3/2023When Byahar and Nutti, two star-crossed lovers from a forbidden 14th century planet, are thrust together in an enchanting secret garden, they must wrestle with class, culture, and their own emotions to find solace and discover the garden of love awaiting them.

Helter-Skelter.
The words reverberated from the cavernous tomb that is the mouth. One of many that lay, concealed, beneath a flowery sea of green. The words were spoken, too soft for a man to hear, but loud enough for a god to listen to. The god in question was one who had only heard two words before in his existence: "fucking boring". He did not trust them enough to think they were the truth.
They weren't.
A woman wearing a gown made entirely out of leaves stood among an ungodly garden, with her back turned to the intruder. She had come here from a faraway world, where she now knew that this garden had been created by a dying race, and was doomed to die along with them. But she couldn't help but feel alive here. As if she didn't have to worry about anything anymore, now that she was no longer burdened by what had happened in her past.
But there was a man who didn't agree with her. A soldier clad in red armour and wielding a spear as tall as himself, under orders from his king to keep the garden at all costs. He'd been sent here on a subtle mission, which he was ordered to complete even if it meant his death at the hand of whatever creature he would find lurking in the shadows of this paradise. His intentions were clear as day when he first met the woman who wore only leaves and flowers as garments - he wanted to kill her and take whatever treasure lay within this garden by order of his king.
But after meeting her face to face, he found himself unable to follow through with his orders - instead, he found himself begging her for forgiveness over what he had done, claiming that it wasn't him who had sent him here...and then asked for her hand in marriage. She laughed at first, but stopped quickly when she saw how serious he was about it - and how much pain he was in because of his own actions that led him here. She accepted him anyway, on one condition - that they would never speak of this again until they had left this place behind forever.
And so they lived together on their own little island within this tiny sea of greenery - along with some other creatures who chose to join their little sanctuary whilst it lasted: an old lizard with scales as golden as the sun whose name was Kuja; a nameless dog whose fur looked like fresh snow; three young children who were each born without names or genders and grew up under water; two spirits who were bound together as one by fate; and last but not least, the reason why they could even survive in this paradise: a lone flower growing out of nutty soil which gave them its life force whenever needed - a power which would fade away when it saw fit, driven away by those who threatened their utopia because they feared what came naturally. The most important thing about this flower though - was that it served as a gateway between its home planet and Nutti's home world - allowing her people to live on Nutti's desire world while keeping herself isolated from her people's hate and disgust towards sex.
