Marana hopped up onto the control chair. "Prepare for landing," she said, her voice low and steady.

"Yes, Commander," said the Captain, nodding sharply. He turned back to his workstation, one hand on the throttle and the other on the communications panel. The radio beeped and buzzed. The lights flickered. Outside, the stars seemed to rush at them in a blur.

Marana paused for a moment, looking down at her hands resting gently on the control panel. "Um... Captain?" she asked timidly.

The Captain looked over his shoulder at her with a smile. "Yes?" he replied, turning back to his station again.

"What if we crash into something? Like an asteroid or another spaceship?" she asked, trying not to sound afraid of such a possibility.

The Captain's eyes were on the monitor in front of him as he responded to her question. "Well... er..." he began, his voice trailing off as he tried to figure out what to say next. Then suddenly he snapped his fingers and pointed at her with a grin on his face. "We'll just have to be careful!" he said proudly. He turned back around and began working diligently on his station again, trying not to smile too widely at himself for being able to give a good answer so quickly.

Marana frowned slightly at the Captain's response but decided not to say anything else about it for the time being. Instead she turned her attention back toward the stars rushing past them outside their ship and tried to keep from thinking about crashing into any asteroids or spaceships out there in space somewhere between where they were now and where they wanted to go next. She wondered if all of this was really necessary though - going across space from planet to planet like this all the time when they could just use teleportation technology like everyone else did these days - but then she thought that talking about teleporting might make her feel even more sick than she already did, so she decided it would probably be better if she didn't bring that up right now either and just kept reminding herself that everything was going fine so far and that they were going to land safely soon enough, no matter how scary things outside their ship got while they traveled through space like this.

"Captain?" Marana asked nervously after a while, looking over at him with a small furrow between her eyebrows. The Captain lifted his head from his workstation and smiled warmly at her in response before saying anything else though, which made Marana relax again immediately and let out a long sigh of relief as she sat back down onto her chair again. He walked over toward her slowly, making sure that he didn't trip over anything lying around or run into any walls along the way on account of how dark it was in here all of a sudden with all of those power outages going on outside their ship lately ever since those alien robots started attacking everyone who went near them (it was especially dark in here without any power because there weren't even any chairs for people to sit down on anymore since someone had stolen them for some reason or other recently).

When he reached where Marana was sitting though, she stood up from her chair again (she was pretty sure that sitting down while they were still traveling through space like this might make her get sick even worse than she already felt) and took careful little steps over toward him until they were just close enough together that they could reach each other's hands by reaching forward only a little bit - which is what happened when Marana reached forward and grabbed onto the Captain's hand tightly after walking past him once she was sure that wasn't going to make her feel even more sick than she already did if she didn't do that right now - because while they were traveling through space like this like this together like this holding hands like this might make it seem like they didn't care about each other or something because it might make them feel even less nauseous than whatever it was that made them feel nauseous when they didn't hold hands together like this during space travel but still nauseous somehow anyway because otherwise why would anyone ever bother holding hands together like this during space travel?

It was kind of hard for Marana to decide why exactly holding hands together like this during space travel made them both feel better than whatever it was that made them feel worse while they traveled through space together like this holding hands but still worse somehow anyway but then again part of what made it so hard for Marana to decide what made them feel better holding hands together during space travel versus feeling worse anyway was probably also because although it wasn't really easy for either one of them to admit it (because admitting things sometimes isn't always easy) neither one of them had been feeling very well lately ever since those robot aliens started attacking everyone who went near them so maybe it wasn't fair for either one of them to expect themselves or each other not to act differently than normal now that there were robot aliens attacking everywhere all the time instead of acting normally by holding hands together during space travel instead of not acting normally by not holding hands together during space travel or whatever whenever wherever whenever whenever whenever whenever whenever whenever whenever whenever whenever whenever whenever whenever whenever whenever - especially since neither one of them liked having awkward moments alone with each other anymore ever since those robot aliens started attacking people everywhere all the time instead of acting normally by having awkward moments alone with each other anymore ever since those robot aliens started attacking people everywhere all the time instead of acting normally by having awkward moments alone with each other anymore ever since those robot aliens started attacking people everywhere all the time instead of acting normally by having awkward moments alone with each other anymore ever since those robot aliens started attacking people everywhere all the time instead of acting normally by having awkward moments alone with each other anymore ever since those robot aliens started attacking people everywhere all the time instead of acting normal-ly by having awkward moments alone with each other anymore ever since those robot aliens started attacking people everywhere all the time instead-of acting normally by having awkward moments alone with each other anymore ever since those robot aliens started attacking people everywhere all night long every night long every night long every night long every night long every night long every night long every night long every night long every night long every night long every night long every night long every night long every night long every night long every night long every night long - especially when neither one of them remembered what normal behavior looked like anymore anyway because none of their friends were around any more after those alien robots attacked everyone except for themselves (and also maybe also because no one had noticed yet that they were gone yet either), which meant none of their friends could tell them how normal behavior looked anymore anyway because none of their friends were around any more after those alien robots attacked everyone except for themselves (and also maybe also because no one had noticed yet that they were gone yet either), which meant none of their friends could tell them how normal behavior looked anymore anyway because no one told anyone anything anymore because no one told anyone anything anymore because no one told anyone anything anymore because no one told anyone anything anymore because no one told anyone anything anymore because no one told anyone anything anymore b-yeeeeeee-e-ahhhhhh...!
