Dangerous Reunion: Sharda and Cassel's North African Odyssey

The two young men were walking through the streets of Alexandria discussing their future. Cassel, a tall, thin and dark skinned man with big brown eyes, was planning to become the new governor of North Africa. “I’m going to need a wife if I want to be successful in politics” Cassel said as he took a sip from his wine glass. Sharda, a shorter and lighter skinned man with green eyes, was an exiled prince of Mauretania and had no intentions of getting married and living as a puppet for an undeserving king.

Cassel continued on his political ambitions and revealed he had already chosen his wife: Sharda. The two men stopped in their tracks when they heard this news. “Cassel, what are you talking about? You don’t even love me!” Sharda yelled. “I know, but it’s politics, just like my father always said: ‘politics is like war because you have to win every battle even if you have to sacrifice some pawns along the way’” Cassel replied calmly.

Sharda couldn’t believe what he was hearing so he grabbed Cassel by the collar and started screaming into his face until the security guards grabbed him by the arms and dragged him off while they threw him onto the ground. He looked up at Cassel who was staring at him blankly without any emotion whatsoever.

That night Sharda broke into Cassel's house and stole all of his clothes and money before fleeing throughout North Africa trying to make his way back home to Mauretania.

After several years of being away from Alexandria, Sharda found himself in Carthage trying to earn some money so that he could buy passage back to Mauretania. He got hired by a local restaurant owner named Forsen who gave him some food after work one night. That night found the two men sitting outside enjoying a cigarette until an arrow pierced Forsen's neck killing him instantly.

Sharda ran for his life but tripped on something causing him to fall face first onto the floor face first with blood splattered all over his shirt as tears streamed down his face. He slowly turned around revealing that he fell onto Forsen's dead body as he slowly looked behind him revealing that he tripped over an arrow that killed Forsen.

His hands covered in blood with tears streaming down his face Sharda staggered out of the alleyway only to find himself surrounded by guards who quickly grabbed hold of him while they threw him against the wall while they took out their swords threateningly towards him while they asked questions in Arabic which he didn't understand because he was only taught Latin during his time at school.

A few hours later Sharda was thrown into a dungeon where he met up with Cassel who told him everything about how today was supposed to be their wedding day until he dumped him for some other guy because of politics and how he blamed Sharda for ruining his life which led them both here now behind bars waiting to be executed tomorrow morning after court in the morning.
