Milo and the Ghostly Guardians of Kikka

I was floating a few feet above the ground. It felt like I was free falling at an extremely slow pace. I couldn't feel anything and could barely see anything in front of me. All I could make out was a faint white fog that appeared to be getting thicker as I moved forward.

I had no idea where I was or what I was doing here. The last thing I remembered was being on our ship, 'The Iron-Heart'. It had been hours after we landed on this planet and all of us were still in shock. We had been given no warning about this world and when we touched down the soil, sand and rocks that made up the surface bent almost like rubber towards us. We were surprised at first, but then we started to understand why when we noticed that it was getting harder to move around and even breathe by the minute. We had taken shelter as soon as possible, but it did not take long for us to start losing heat, moisture and most importantly oxygen. Everything was going wrong too quick for us and we needed help fast. That is where I came in, it was my job to go get help, any help that can help us get off this hellish place!

I began moving forward until things started to slowly come into focus again. The mist cleared itself away and I could see that I wasn't walking anymore either. In fact, it looked like my whole body had shifted sideways somehow. My arms were now puffed up against my side and my legs were together pressed against each other with a thick layer of something covering them. It looked like it was a solid material, but there were also holes every now and then giving me a peek of what lay underneath as well as allowing air to flow through from time to time.

As strange as it sounded, I didn't really care about how or why it happened since there weren't many options left that would allow me to think about anything else happening other than the task at hand: trying to find someone who can help us get off this planet alive!

From what I knew about this place so far, it didn't appear to have much vegetation on its surface thus making me believe that any lifeforms that might exist here would probably be similar to those on earth which means they should be able to speak out loud if they're close enough by since there are no animals on this planet capable of communicating with others via sign language or telepathy or whatever else you might call that kind of stuff. So all in all, finding someone should not be too difficult. Still at the same time though, there is always an exception somewhere right? Like the people who are so good at hiding themselves you don't know their even there until you walk right into them or worse yet try talking to them without knowing their actually some sort of monster ready to bite your head off!

I have never been one of those people who believed in monsters though even when others told me stories about them being real during my childhood days back on earth. Now though, with what has happened today being added onto the fact that we're trapped here with no way out yet - so far - i guess i'm starting to wonder if maybe i've been wrong all along because there's no real way for anyone else besides me to explain how i ended up in this state right now in terms of appearance nor did i remember any other human being being here before i arrived either...so maybe monsters do actually exist after all?
