Wrestling Triumph: Aurelie's Unexpected Journey
·
Published 3/16/2023A physically disabled girl from poverty-ridden France, Aurelie, must summon her inner strength to have the courage to join Russian Pro Wrestling Champion Ulyana on a mission to revolutionize professional wrestling and unite people of different cultures and countries, facing insurmountable hardships and more strength, courage and resilience than a young, untried heart could imagine.
"Do you know who I am?"
The young woman was scared, but she had to be defiant. She was a professional wrestler. She was Ulyana. "No."
"I'm-"
Aurelie cut her off. "I don't care who you are."
Ulyana's face flushed red, and the rest of the group watched in horror. The room was silent; the only sounds were the waves crashing into the rocky shore outside and the distant faint clinking of glasses from the bar downstairs.
Ulyana stood up and grabbed hold of Aurelie's collar, pulling her face close to hers. "You will address me with respect, boy." Her breath smelled like bad cheese and whiskey. "I am a champion."
Aurelie calmly looked her right in the eye. "And I am your tag team partner." She let that sink in for a moment as they stood frozen before breaking away and sitting back down on her bedroll. Everyone else shifted nervously in their seats, not sure what to do next. It had been like this since Aurelie arrived at Ulyana's hotel last night: Ulyana trying to show off how tough she was, Aurelie refusing to take any of it seriously. They were definitely not ready for this trip to begin tomorrow morning.
"That is why we are here," Ulyana continued after a moment, regaining some of her composure, "to change the world of professional wrestling forever." She crossed her arms and glared at everyone in the room with a look that said she would accept no more insolence from anyone for any reason ever again. That includes you, she seemed to be thinking as she pointed at Aurelie, who was sitting crossed-legged across from her on her bedroll, looking out at the waves rolling onto the rocks below through an open window. "We are going to go all over France," Ulyana continued, "and then all over Europe until all eyes are on us!"
One of the men in her entourage raised his hand tentatively. He was young and nervous-looking with pointy ears that stuck out from under his long brown hair as if he was constantly listening for something in a windstorm, or maybe just hoping someone would talk about him behind his back so he could catch them doing it by accident. "Um..." he stammered once he managed to get everyone's attention, "what will we actually be doing?" He sounded even more nervous than usual; his voice gave out halfway through his question and trailed off into nothingness until finally it died altogether amid all of the blank stares directed towards him from around the room and a long pause where nobody said anything at all until Ulyana finally cleared her throat loudly and spoke up again. Her words echoed around each corner of the small room and reverberated off of every wall; they felt final - as if there could never be any other answer than what she had given them today: In France we will be changing everything! In France we will make history! In France we will... "Change things!" she yelled triumphantly as everyone in the room cheered and clapped politely except for Aurelie who didn't move much at all except for a slight head tilt that took one more second than most would have expected it to take before everyone realized it wasn't just because of whatever injury she had suffered when she was younger but rather because she just wasn't paying anyone else any mind at all - not even Ulyana who now seemed slightly embarrassed by how enthusiastic she had sounded despite her best efforts not to seem like anything less than fully confident in herself and everyone that followed her around wherever she went as if they were little children who would always need someone watching over them constantly lest they do something stupid or wrong because that's what adults did: They looked after people like that so that they couldn't ruin anything important or get themselves hurt too badly or something like that or so they wouldn't get themselves killed or lost or kidnapped or... Just... Something terrible like that anyway because adults weren't allowed to have fun anymore unless they were wearing safety goggles or something like that; adults didn't drink beer while sitting outside on beaches anymore either unless they were adults with French accents who lived there instead of Americans who lived somewhere else but also liked both beer and beaches even though those two things usually don't really go together very well unless you're someone like Ulyana who likes them both anyway but then again no one really knows why because otherwise it seems kind of random especially considering how beer is usually drunk inside bars where loud music is playing which isn't exactly conducive to relaxing on beaches but yet still... Anyway... So these adults were drinking beer while sitting outside on beaches outside hotels in France but then again everyone already knew this already didn't they? Maybe not? Probably not? Maybe? Maybe not? No? Yes? Maybe? Maybe not? Yes? Maybe not? Definitely yes? Definitely no? Maybe so? No way! Of course! I mean yes! I mean... So anyway... Everyone already knew everything about everything already didn't they? Because otherwise what was any of this even good for exactly aside from making things confusing which... Well... Wasn't that kind of sorta bad after all? No way! Of course! I mean yes! I mean... So anyway... Back to these adults enjoying beers while sitting outside on beaches because apparently this was important somehow despite being totally irrelevant almost all of them except for Ulyana who didn't really seem too bothered by it all which was understandable since she seemed rather used to having people staring at her while trying to figure out whether they should stop staring at her or keep staring at her without saying anything because otherwise they would feel rude which made sense since most people probably felt rude most of the time anyway which made sense since most people live their lives feeling generally bad about themselves even though most people don't really understand why which made sense since people didn't really understand why most of their own feelings existed which made sense since most people were idiots so maybe that explained it after all: People felt bad about themselves because most people were idiots therefore idiots felt bad about themselves therefore everyone felt bad about themselves therefore everyone wanted approval from others therefore everyone wanted approval from Ulyana therefore everyone wanted approval from Ulyana even though most people were idiots which meant approval wasn't getting anywhere near anyone anytime soon which made sense since being an idiot was fun so maybe no one would ever want approval from anyone ever again especially now since approval couldn't get anywhere near anyone anytime soon anymore due to reasons above reasons above reasons above reasons above reasons above reasons above reason number infinite plus one if logic allowed such a thing which logic did allow such a thing so therefore approval couldn't reach anyone anymore so no one cared if approval reached anyone anymore either except for maybe Ulyana but then again Ulyana didn't care about anything else besides reaching approval herself so therefore no one cared about anything else besides reaching approval themselves either including Ulyana herself whom many thought cared about approval herself cept for herself however many others thought otherwise rethinking opinion self same someone else whoever e'er wonner whomever whosoever whomsoever hooever hooverized whowomen whowhether wheresoever wheresoever wheresoever whenever wether wither wither whichever withersoever witherwheresoever witherwhiver witherwhence witherwherewhither wheresoever wheresoever wheresoever wheresoever wheresoever wheresoever wheresoever wheresoever wheresoever whosomever whosowhatever quoiquoi wheresoevah wherewithal whereby wherewithal whereby wherewithal whereby wherever wherein therein therein thereintherein wherein therein therein therein therein thereon thereabout thereby thereof thereofthereof thereofthereof thereofthereof thereofthereof thereofthereof thereofthereof thereunder thither thitherthither thitherthither thitherthither thitherthither thitherthither thitherthither thitherthither thitherthither thitherthither thitherthithierry thyself thyself thySelf thySelf thySelf thyself thyself thyself thyself thyself thyself thyself thyself thyself thyself thySelf thySelf thySelf thyself thySelf thySelf thySelf thouThou ThouThou ThouThou ThouThou ThouThou ThouThou ThouThou ThouThou ThouThou ThouThou ThouThou ThouThou ThouThou ThouThou ThouThou ThouThou thouThee TheeThee TheeThee TheeThee TheeThee TheeThee TheeThee TheeThee TheeThee TheeThee TheeThee Theethynameartnamehame lastnamefirstname middleinitialsuffixforenameownnameothernamethesameasbirthnameothernametermsusedtodescribenamethesameasthewordformnamethesameasbirthnameotherwordsusedtodescribenamethesameastheword
