I arrived at the port and was greeted by a very large, very dark room with lights on the walls. There were about two dozen people in the room and the ceiling seemed to be about three stories up. The floor stretched out for what seemed like miles. A large desk was sitting about fifty feet from me and a man was behind it looking through some paperwork.
"Hello!" he shouted as he saw me approach, "How are you?" He asked as he stood up from his chair and walked around the desk to meet me.
"Fine, fine." I said back, trying to sound friendly but sounding more like a croak.
I reached out my hand to him but he didn't seem to notice so I just awkwardly put my arm back down. He pulled out a small pad from his pocket and began to tap on it. Then he looked at me, "You're here to fix your ship?" He asked with a smile.
I nodded, "Yes." I responded in a raspy voice. Then I cleared my throat and repeated myself, "Yes," this time much clearer than before, "I am here to fix my ship."
"And what is wrong with your ship?" He asked as he tapped on his pad again.
I was hesitant on what to say next but then an idea came to me, "I'm not sure actually," I lied, "It won't start anymore."
"Oh? And how long has this been going on?" He asked as he continued to write things down on his pad.
"About two days now." I stated, knowing that this would be the time frame where I would need to have done something about it already.
The man finally stopped writing for a second and looked up at me, "Well hopefully we can get you fixed up." He smiled at me again then turned around and walked back around the desk towards his chair and sat down once again.
I followed him over to his desk and waited until after he had sat down before sitting in one of the chairs in front of him at the desk. The man leaned forward again and began writing on his pad again then after he had finished he handed me the pad across the table with both hands, "This will lead you where you need to be." He informed me then went back to reading some papers that were sitting in front of him , signaling that our conversation was over..
