The sky was dark, and the stars shined brightly in the night sky. A small figure was making its way across the barren wasteland that was now the planet of Gaiatron, on a path to an unknown destination.

The figure wore a dark cape which fluttered in the wind behind it. The dark fabric hid most of the person’s features, with only their face and hair visible to the remnants of a once proud people. It walked with confidence, knowing that no one alive would recognize it as it passed them by. It was not just because of the long years since its previous existence, but also because men and women would not know what to make of such a thing as a Templar walking among them.

It had been many years since the last war between the Templars and their mortal enemies. The Temples were all destroyed, save for one. That Temple was still working in secret to protect the galaxy from evil. The Templars had changed since then though. They had needed to adapt after losing so many members and seeing the atrocities committed against their people. Their once black robes were now replaced with modern clothing and armor, allowing them to blend in better than ever before. However, they never forgot their roots. They remembered that they were warriors forged in steel and iron who fought enemies that should not exist in this world or any other world for that matter. Looking up at the night sky brought back memories of old friends and even enemies who had fallen during those times when Templar Knights truly lived up to their name.

As it reminisced about its past, a strange light could be seen far off in the distance. The tiny figure stopped in its tracks and squinted into the distance, trying to make out what it was through the darkness. There was definitely something there, shining brighter than anything else around it like a beacon in space. Without hesitation, it took off towards where it was coming from, knowing full well that whatever it was would mean trouble for whoever lived there if left alone for too long.

The closer it got, however, the more confused it became about what exactly this thing was that shone so brightly like a star in space. It had passed through several other settlements since leaving its own home planet months ago, but none of them even came close to being as bright or as large as this object seemed to be from here. Whatever it was seemed to grow larger as it got closer until finally passing directly over where it stood on one side of a mountain peak while passing under another beyond it at almost unimaginable speed. The being looked up at where the massive object had been just a second before and saw nothing but empty space where nothing but stars should have been visible without obstruction of any kind. It stared at where this phenomenon had been until finally something else caught its eye beneath him.

Walking towards it cautiously, he realized that he must have landed on top of some sort of structure belonging to whatever this place was that he now found himself on top of while staring into what appeared to be an enormous valley filled with buildings that stretched out further than he could see from where he stood high above them all against a backdrop covered by clouds misty enough to make out points along its length before eventually giving way to stars once more at each end of this world hidden beneath his feet, away from prying eyes. For reasons unknown, this civilization preferred to keep their existence a secret, welcoming outsiders with grave consequences even for those who happened upon their land accidentally or due to ignorance.

Templars strived to present themselves as peaceful travelers, but sometimes circumstances did not work in their favor. They wound up stranded on worlds far more advanced than their own and fought wars against enemies they could barely comprehend. In every encounter, they lost, facing both technological and supernatural adversaries. Through it all, one last Templar managed to survive, still seeking a way back home.

The centuries of space travel weighed heavy on the Templars. Their successes were limited, and their hope dimmed. Despite their advancements in technology, reaching their galaxy remained insurmountable, let alone traversing other universes. Little did they know, an even more formidable enemy was in the shadows, monitoring their progress, biding its time before presenting itself in the next horrific chapter of the Templar Knights' story.

The Templar Knight stood atop the hidden structure, gazing down at the immense valley below. As far as his eyes could see, the city stretched out, its towering skyscrapers disappearing into the misty abyss. He wondered how such a technologically advanced civilization could remain hidden from the rest of the galaxy. The people of this world had clearly taken great measures to protect their secrecy.

But the Templar Knight knew better than to underestimate the enemy. Throughout his long and solitary journey, he had encountered countless adversaries, both mortal and supernatural. Each battle had left scars etched into his memory, a constant reminder of the sacrifices made by his fallen brethren. It was a weight he carried with him, a solemn duty to never forget their sacrifice and to ensure that their legacy lived on.

With a deep breath, the Templar Knight began to descend from the structure, making his way down into the city below. His steps were deliberate, his senses heightened as he navigated the unfamiliar streets. The city was eerily silent, devoid of any signs of life. It was as if the entire population had vanished without a trace, leaving only an empty shell behind.

As he made his way through the labyrinthine streets, a sense of unease crept over him. Something was not right. The air felt heavy, charged with an otherworldly energy. He could sense a malevolence lurking in the shadows, watching his every move. It was a feeling he had become all too familiar with during his long journey.

Suddenly, a figure emerged from the darkness, its features obscured by a cloak. The Templar Knight instinctively reached for his weapon, ready to defend himself. Yet, to his surprise, the figure raised a hand, signaling for him to stand down.

"You are not like the others," a voice echoed from beneath the hood. "You carry the essence of the Templar Knights within you."

The Templar Knight narrowed his eyes, cautiously studying the figure before him. "Who are you?" he demanded.

The figure chuckled softly. "I am known as the Oracle, a guardian of ancient knowledge. I have been watching you, Templar Knight. You are the last of your kind, and I have a proposition for you."

The Templar Knight's curiosity was piqued. "What kind of proposition?"

The Oracle's voice grew solemn. "There is an ancient artifact, one that holds the power to reunite the shattered realms of existence. With it, you could find your way back to your home galaxy."

Hope surged within the Templar Knight's heart, a flicker of light in a sea of darkness. He had spent countless years searching for a way to return home, only to be met with disappointment at every turn. The possibility of finally accomplishing his mission seemed too good to be true.

"What do you require in return?" the Templar Knight asked, his voice steady.

The Oracle's hooded gaze met his, filled with an ancient wisdom that transcended human comprehension. "There is a great evil that threatens not just your galaxy, but all realms of existence. It is a formidable enemy, one that has eluded even the mightiest of warriors. To obtain the artifact, you must face this enemy head-on and emerge victorious."

The Templar Knight's resolve hardened. He had faced countless adversaries in his lifetime, and he would not falter now. "Tell me where to find this evil," he said, his voice filled with determination.

The Oracle nodded, a faint smile playing at the corners of their lips. "In the heart of the forbidden forest lies the gateway to the realm of shadows. There, you shall find the source of the darkness that plagues our worlds. But be warned, Templar Knight, for this enemy is unlike anything you have ever faced."

With a final nod, the Oracle vanished into thin air, leaving the Templar Knight alone in the deserted city. He knew that his path was now set, and he would stop at nothing to reclaim his home galaxy and defend it against the encroaching darkness.

As he made his way towards the forbidden forest, the Templar Knight couldn't shake the feeling that this encounter marked a turning point in his journey. He was no longer just a lone survivor; he was a beacon of hope, a symbol of resilience against the odds. The final chapter of the Templar Knights' story was about to unfold, and he was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, armed with the honor and determination that had carried his order through the ages.
