The sun was setting. The desert was as hot as always and the air was dry as always. Jasmine sat down on a rock while her two guards were busy with the campfire. She looked at the dying light and thought about what happened today.

It was a good day; she had finally managed to make Aladdin jealous by flirting with some random merchants. It didn't matter that he wasn't even looking! But it made her happy to see his face turn red for once.

She sighed in contentment, took out her mirror and started playing around with it. What would she do if she had magic powers? She would probably have done the most obvious thing and turn Aladdin into a frog or something. Or maybe a really ugly cat, like that one merchant boy who was stalking her earlier. Ugh that guy was so weird, he kept staring at her with those big bug eyes of his...And then there was Prince Ali! He was just so handsome! She started fantasizing about him again as she admired herself in the mirror, twirling her hair and posing like a princess.

"Princess," said one of the men behind her, "Time to sleep."

Jasmine rolled her eyes and got up from the rock. One of them took her hand in his and helped her onto the camel's back. The other man fetched some sheets and blankets from their supplies and they set up camp around the fire. Jasmine sat on a mat against the camel's side while they put on a blanket over her shoulders and spread out some pillows for her head. Then they each grabbed a blanket of their own and curled up on either side of her to keep watch.

"Good night Princess," they said in unison, bowing their heads before lying down on either side of her.

But Jasmine wasn't asleep yet, she too watched the fire for a little longer until she too fell asleep under the stars, dreaming about Prince Ali...
