Cai's Unseen Odyssey

The gate dates back to a forgotten era, partially obscured and forgotten in the Iron Age woods. There was something beyond the gate, however, something unexpected and dangerous, causing tremors in the air that deters any sea of fate within range of the shrouded wooden frame. But then arrives Cai, a blind man who has ventured for days with half a cybernetic body and an implant embedded in his head, ready to face whatever awaits.

With his guild, Cai soon learns all too quickly that the gate is a window in time, and it has opened formidably back to an ancient past, which neither could fathom but which compels his companions to shrink and Cai to rise. While their eyes alone can not tell what lies ahead, the feeling of incomparable courage leads the way, and Cai bravely treks forward, never faltering despite how endless the journey may seem.

The quest sprawls out through Europe, as Cai steers an invincible march through days of rugged terrain, exotic worlds, and powerful foes. Mortification after mortification haunts as he debates the consequences of interactions with a shifting cast of characters, yet Cai remains adamant in his pursuit of enlightenment and clarity. No matter the peril or provocation, and although he is nothing more than merely half blind, confronted with nothing but hope, he finds himself pounding through daring jungles to meet a furious array of testaments and mysteries.

The isolated fabric in the Iron Age captures and holds Cai in a euphoric display of emotions, aging back through the measured centuries to a world beyond comprehension. No door or answer is visible, only conflicting magic and shattered time that may - or may not - shake the once-blinded man awake.

And so Cai is propelled through an intensifying moment of awareness and discovery, as he is dragged further through exploration of his newfound senses and weakening fits of doubt. These newfound physical senses, inadequate as they may be, provide fuel to the fire of unpredictable events that cleanse away stale trails and batter Cai’s indefinite blend of half futuristic and half ancient perception. Through every notch and stumble, he follows through a hammering of heartfelt resolutions and chilling pauses, searching desperately for any piece of key to a successful outcome.

As Cai begins to understand the walls around him, he feels the right moment of conviction, the aura of success; dreams crumble as a nameless entity reveals itself when he at last passes through the gate. Dreams die in a flash, darkness rising to jolt what was once blind into a life of gain and loss, and through stirring air, this unknown enemy outspreads chaos and unrest. Fights and twists of fate form an unparalleled battleground, the course of history spinning on nothing more than sheer strength and might. The possibility of return dissipates faster than salvation; streaks of visions come to life and tangle to bring livid fears and sorrows to Cai.

In a ball of a fury, time ceases and every outdated force shakes for the man with cybernetics, some bold and some not quite brave. Gaining what he is or what it all was, Cai storms into the very mists of truth with a daring step and a burning soul, even at the risk of vanishing amongst the smoky white dawn. With a fitting blaze of emotion, the man of courage seeks the understanding born from the ashes, never fearing any opposition - not the enemies, not the unknown, and not the time threatening to swallow him whole.

The looming leap beyond mortality comes to an end. No joyful plot, no silver threads that welcome the light of destiny, nothing but himself and a single half-cyborg figure marching on towards the answer.
