I sat back, feeling the smooth wood of my chair as it rested against my shoulder blades. My eyes still fixed upon the parchment in front of me.

"Are you done yet?"

I turned, seeing my friend and confidant, Reiner. His wild red hair and green face was not a pretty sight, but it was my own fault for bringing him to this new planet with me.

I smiled, "Almost." I said calmly.

He huffed and folded his arms across his chest. I smiled again and turned back to finish the poem on the parchment before me. It had been years since I had written one, but this one was special to me.

A princess so lovely and pure

Seemingly cold hearted and alluringly pure

Not knowing her icy heart was thawing fast

As she gazed at a knight who fought so bravely

Her eyes were like sapphires that sparkled in the sun's rays

Her skin shone as bright as diamonds in her father's crowns

Golden hair flowed down her shoulders like a waterfall of silk

My heart did flutter when we met eyes for the first time

As she gave a slight smile to me without hesitation

I began to weep from joyfulness and wonderment

As if life itself had given us a blessing for our union

For she would be my wife, my love and soul mate forever more

To keep safe from any harm or danger that might occur

She gave me hope that one day we could have children together

The love we shared was true, it was everlasting and blissful

As time passed by, our love got stronger each day

Her smile warmed my heart with joy as we made our way back home

Her strong fingers intertwined with mine

Back to our kingdom where everyone waited anxiously for us to return home safely

Alas! There was no happy ending when we arrived at home. War had struck! Our king tried his best to fight off the enemy that invaded our lands! But he fell along with many others while Elysia and I were out on our journey together. The enemy saw this as their chance to strike once again by killing off our king! And they took Elysia into their custody! I tried my best to fight off invaders but I ended up getting captured myself. Was I going to lose her? Was it all going to end here? What now? What do I do? My mind raced with many thoughts until...

Several hours later, I awoke chained up against a cold stone wall. A lone candle lit room surrounded by four stone walls and nothing else except for an old woman sitting in front of me. She didn't look at me as she spoke, "I see you are awake." She said calmly as she looked at what seemed like a book in her hands. "You have caused quite a bit of trouble for us today." She added almost dismissively. After another moment of silence, she looked at me directly with eyes that were dark brown with no signs of age showing through them. "Now tell me why should we let you live?" She asked bluntly while looking over her book once more. My sadness turned into anger as I screamed out loud at the old woman who seemed unfazed by my outburst. She simply closed her book slowly before speaking again in that same disinterested tone as before, "Why should we let you live?" She repeated calmly as if reading off a list of groceries needed for dinner tonight. And then it hit me... They were going to kill Elysia because they thought she knew how to summon us onto this planet! Oh no! How could I have been so stupid?! That stupid poem about how much I loved Elysia... It would have warned them that there were other people coming from other planets here on Mars! We came because of a war between two planets called Terra and Earth... Soo many people died during that war so many years ago but somehow some managed to survive escaping onto Terra's moon Titan where they stayed until now... On Mars known as Sol 563 in the year 3317AD... This war still raged on even though both planets' rulers signed peace treaties long ago... And now it would end.. Because they took her away from me thinking she knew how to summon us certain people onto Mars.. Unless... There was only one way.. One way out of here alive.. One way out of here with Elysia.. But why would they let us go free after everything they've done? Before my thoughts could drift any further into darkness, the old woman spoke again: "One last chance before we take your life." She paused sensing hesitation from me before adding "This is your last chance." Again there was silence between us until finally I spoke up: "Please let us go free." It was barely audible but she heard it anyway as she raised an eyebrow at me in surprise before nodding slightly towards the door behind her expectantly waiting for someone else to enter the room soon after. And then.. Everything changed.. In what felt like mere moments later.. A young woman dressed all in white entered the room holding something tightly in her hands and standing next to Elysia's side was Reiner who wore a proud smile on his face as if he couldn't be prouder of himself right now.. The two women stood there waiting patiently while Reiner approached carefully while carrying something wrapped around him which looked like some kind of ragged cloth of some sort covering his body before turning towards Elysia handing off what he held onto her just before reaching out his hands towards hers and clapping them together hard making a loud sound mimicking cracking bones being healed almost instantly! Making him appear human once more! The two women gasped simultaneously shocked beyond belief by this sudden revelation! Reiner smiled proudly once more as he reached for Elysia's hand taking it gently into his own before turning towards the two women smiling warmly saying only three words: "It's ok now." With those simple words, one of the women nodded politely towards Reiner obviously pleased with his actions while turning towards Bella her friend who seemed less convinced than ever now despite having no choice but to obey whatever they told her too!! As if nothing ever happened in this stone room besides three visitors walking out of it after having accepted their mutual future together happily!!
