The mission was simple.

"Get in, get the item and get out." Ordered by his master, he had been sent to steal a ring from the hands of Baron Wulfgar.

"Why is it important?" He asked the necromancer.

"I need it to complete my ritual." The necromancer replied, his voice echoing in the dark tunnel. "Without that ring, I can't bring back my daughter."

The warrior sighed and continued advancing through the tunnel. He had no idea who this necromancer's daughter was or why she was dead in the first place. However, he knew one thing for sure: His master had made him swear an oath to bring back his daughter at all costs. Even if it meant betraying his own city.

After hours of crawling through the tunnel, he finally reached the entrance of the castle. He looked around cautiously and saw no sign of any guards or civilians. Good, he thought to himself. That meant that everyone must have gone to bed and would probably not return until morning. He drew out a small vial from his pocket and drank its contents before running towards Baron Wulfgar's study room.

He entered and studied the room carefully before making his way towards Baron Wulfgar's desk where he figured the ring would be located at. Silently, he searched each drawer until he found a small box that contained a ring with a blue gem inside it. He quickly picked up the box and started heading towards the door when he heard footsteps approaching outside. Frantic now, he drew out his sword and ran towards the window closest to him where he jumped out and landed on the ground below. A loud scream echoed behind him as two guards spotted him but they were too late since he disappeared into the shadows near the fence before they could reach him.

After walking for some time, he found himself near a bridge which led across a river into another part of town where many people lived. He stopped by to look at his reflection on water surface when suddenly someone tugged at his shoulder from behind. Startled, he turned around hastily only to find himself face-to-face with Captain Willem standing right in front of him armed with a long spear pointed straight at his chest.

"You're under arrest for breaking into Baron Wulfgar's study room..." Captain Willem began but stopped abruptly when he realized that the man standing before him was different from what he had seen before in court several weeks ago during an investigation regarding Baron Wulfgar's missing ring which was supposed to be given as a wedding gift to Baroness Cassandra who was set to marry Lord Cedric tomorrow evening at mid-day in front of thousands of people who would gather just outside Castle Tourney where both Baron Wulfgar and Lord Cedric would pledge their loyalty for their respective countries' peace treaty which would ensure a lasting peace between Draconia and Marnia for years to come.

For Captain Willem, this event would be nothing short of disastrous if something went wrong so he desperately tried his best to avoid any kind of catastrophe by questioning every citizen of Tourney regarding any possible threats against Baroness Cassandra or any other nobleman attending this event especially after one week earlier when an unknown group of assassins had managed to kill King Richard while he was inspecting Dragon Corps' training grounds just outside Castle Tourney almost causing a war between Draconia and Marnia if Princess Rosalind hadn't managed to negotiate peace between both countries with her best friend Cassandra's help after getting engaged with her older brother Prince Alexander just three months earlier despite objections from both their parents who accused them of rushing things since they had only known each other personally for less than two months prior but both Rosalind and Alexander insisted that love took no time so there was no point in waiting further so they decided to go ahead with their marriage on December 26th last year as planned without further delay no matter what anyone said about them being hasty fools blinded by their love for each other but now even Princess Rosalind couldn't believe how lucky she was now that all those warnings she gave her younger sister about falling head over heels for someone she barely knew seemed like mere jokes now because within three months she herself couldn't imagine her life without her soulmate Alexander...
