Departing From Tradition: Flipp and Flop's Fabulous Flight

- After another failed year of not being able to hatch their egg, Flipp and Flop, a married pair of penguins from Late Classical America, feel discouraged and heartbroken. It is clear to them that something more is needed for the success of their quest. With the start of a new year on the horizon, the couple takes initiative and devises a plan to find the thing they need to begin the quest. Thus, with hardly anything but their faith, the two embark on their quest across the unforgiving landscape of an unknown land in search of what will lead their journey.

Little did they know, their journey would be filled with crazed discoveries, perseverance and a divine power calling them towards unprecedented heights. As they continued on their path, they encountered several peculiar people, each with their own unique agenda, who they had to figure out if they could trust or whether they were a hindrance or friend. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to them, a malevolent presence lurked in the background, gathering what it could about Flipp and Flop’s whereabouts and objectives; a force brought together by a sacred and ancient text.

Though Flipp and Flop felt a hint of danger from this ominous force, they never wavered from their quest and felt a deep-rooted connection within each other to find what needed to be sought out. As the nightfall came, the couple reached a crossroads, one that could be seen from afar by its wondrous figures, it was illuminated by a light from atop its highest peak, a beacon leading them towards that which they had sought after all this time.

- Flipp and Flop arrived at the mysterious location, their courage rippling within them in waves once the object of the ancient text materialized in the offing. Then, out of nowhere, a man stumbles toward them, desperate and in disarray. He broke the news to them - the object was misplaced, its previous guardians lost and tragically missing. He worriedly asked of them to use their own courage and knowledge of the sacred text to locate the remedy, a complex puzzle crafted by supernatural forces and revealed unto him shades before.

Their helplessness quickly dissipated as an idea shot through their scientific minds. With Flipp's knowledge of astrology and Flop's incredible deductive skills, the couple hatched a plan to solve the ancient puzzle, albeit with a few diversions along the way in which the couple charmed its audience with the subtlety of their sly banter and even softer whispers of emotion, silently giving insight to their new bonds blossoming between them. With each passing journey and challenge, the influence of the intangible construct grew more and more in strength, a sentiment that was also shared between Flipp and Flop.

By the time the night of midpoint dawned, their growing sense of devotion and comradeship was colored with a newfound appreciation for each other's efforts and expectations in these tumultuous times. The twinkle of the glowing beacon dissipated, and in its place, revealed a weapon in opposition to the malevolent force gathering in the shadows, its strength to confront danger like a mythological armor had become power associated with their union.

- With their newfound power, the couple trudged onward, navigating the complex terrain before them and challenging the darkness looming. In their strides, they faced an intensity of challenges, powerful enough to erode the trust they had in their abilities and the armor their courage yielded. Endless numbers of adversaries emerged from the sea of uncertainty, seeking the same prize as them. They encountered menacing forces, rebellious forces and even manipulative forces. Each of these spawns of adversity fought for their attention, making Flipp and Flop work ever the harder to retrieve the mysterious relic, knowing that their power as a couple was waning underneath the menacing turbulence lurking.

The spiritual effects of their union also suffered and tested, calculated reveals of the couple's bond slowly ratcheting down what was so easily uplifted in its beginning. Without the sacred relic, and love slowly exiting the two, it appeared limited to the vulnerability of violence and ultimate failure.

But hope still remained with them, and soon the bond between the two reignited, if but a spark, glancing their greatest fears head-on to restore the strength they had yearned and find the relic they so craved before.

The relic held, in its very core, an emotional yet alarming effect from the tangledweb of stories from all those who have lived, loved and labored tirelessly beneath its sanctity.

As Flipp and Flop left the chamber, fear and hope seemed to cross paths in the midst of answer they had resolved after all the pain. By faith & fortitude, the couple had always been three steps ahead of the malevolent force, who were now suddenly dispelled and eliminated like a dream.

Being brave enough to drift off the path many would deem ‘nomhe’ resulted in a newfound freedom far beyond the bounds of the old world. The perilous journey was made, the mission accomplished and even the lost egg recovered in all its imperishable glory.

The couple’s virtuous journey ended in the eternal night. In its aftermath, their story lingered through all its romantic and passionate strivings, culminating with the promise of a love that never perishes and a life together beyond the conflicts imposed by time- for Flipp and Flop, no trial could separate their love. Through the strength of their spirit, an everlasting power of two had given way to that which survival cannot abort.
