"It's not safe. You shouldn't be out here." The young woman warned.

Warrick turned to look at her and smiled, "I'll be fine." He said as he continued walking forward along the beach.

Nami was in awe of Warrick's ability to control the water that surrounded him. His long, unruly brown hair was drenched and tied back loosely, allowing it to twist and curl at his neckline. He wore a simple white tunic that had been rolled up to his mid-thighs and tied around his waist with a dark green sash. Nami remembered the day she first saw him standing on the shoreline in a forest where she'd been camping with her father. She'd initially mistaken him for an Elder due to his ability to make water appear from thin air; but later learned that he wasn't one like her people.

"You should get out of the sun. It's dangerous!" Nami pleaded, looking down at Warrick's bare feet as they walked along the warm sand.

Warrick looked over at her and smiled, taking note of how she'd changed from the last time he'd seen her almost two years ago. She wore a simple white dress with black stripes running down each side that rested just above her knees. Her long dark hair was pulled back tight into a bun leaving a few stray strands framing her face and neckline as they danced lightly with the ocean breeze. Her skin was darker now too, making it difficult for Warrick to see where her tan ended and her tattoos began. He couldn't take his eyes off of her; from her beautiful almond shaped eyes, to her tiny chipped teeth that had been stained by red betel nut juice after chewing it earlier in the morning, to the way she slightly smiled when she looked at him... He loved everything about this woman who stood before him now. And right now he needed to tell her how much he missed seeing those beautiful eyes light up whenever they were together...

"Are you well?" Nami asked softly as they sat on a large boulder beside the beach watching Warrick stare off into space following their walk along the shoreline. Nami leaned in closer and reached out placing her hand on Warrick's knee then gently squeezed it when he didn't respond immediately. "My friend? Are you ok?" She asked again looking over at him then slowly removed her hand from his knee when she realized he hadn't even noticed it there.

We need to talk... She thought worriedly as she looked out towards the horizon becoming lost in thought herself then felt Warrick place his hand on top of hers, taking it from his knee and wrapping both of his hands around it tenderly holding them together between them on their knees...

"I've missed you..." Warrick whispered as he looked over at Nami wiping away a tear that had fallen down his cheek causing Nami to turn towards him slightly confused by what he'd just said; but then when she saw him smiling she couldn't help but notice how brilliant his blue eyes truly were...

"I've missed you too." She said softly reaching up with one hand and wiping away another tear that had fallen down onto his cheek causing them both to smile widely now as they locked eyes once again only this time there were no tears left behind by either of them...

"Remember how we met?" Warrick asked curiously looking over at Nami who nodded nervously looking shyly down at their joined hands resting between them on their knees...
