Spartacus and the Deka Yellow Orb

I lost my breath as the ball slipped from my hands. I watched it sink into the sand and slowly disappear into the abyss. My heart sank with it, and I felt my lungs empty of air. The referee blew his whistle to end the game, and I turned to see the heads of my teammates drop in defeat. We had lost by a narrow margin. A couple more seconds, and we would've won. It was all because I had lost my grip on the ball.

I slumped onto the bench, drowning in my own thoughts. The other team celebrated loudly, their cheers filling the arena as they ran around celebrating. They were our biggest rivals, and this loss meant that we would have to face them again next year if we wanted to make it to the final round of competition. But now, I couldn't even muster the energy to care about that. We had lost our chance at victory today, and that was enough for me to give up hope in us ever winning this championship again.

A hand rested on my shoulder. I raised my head to look at whoever had placed it there, but didn't recognize any of my teammates' faces. I looked among them until something caught my eye - a pair of blue eyes wide open as they stared back at me. I blinked a few times before realizing what was going on here, then immediately stood up and gave her a hug so tight she could barely breathe.

"You did it," she said as we hugged each other tightly, "you did it!"

"Of course," I replied, almost laughing out loud while still embracing her tightly. There was only one person who could be responsible for me being able to recover so quickly after losing that ball in such an embarrassing manner - Lucilla. She had been watching the games from a private box in the stands, but now appeared on the field running towards us through a nearby tunnel with a big smile on her face. The rest of my team gathered around us and cheered for their teammates who had just won them their first win of the season against their biggest rivals in what seemed like ages.

Lucilla stopped right next to me and embraced both me and Sosia tightly together with her arms around our shoulders. "You won your first match! You're unstoppable!"

"We're unstoppable," Sosia corrected her quickly while smiling back at me while still keeping her arms wrapped around Lucilla's waist with her head resting on her shoulder.

"We are definitely unstoppable," I agreed with Sosia while looking directly into Lucilla's blue eyes which smiled back joyfully at me when she heard those words coming out of my mouth while being held by Sosia while being surrounded by both girls who supported me when I needed them most during this match today which eventually led to us winning against our biggest rivals who were leading us by two goals until Sosia scored this amazing goal right before time ran out which allowed us to tie up the score which then allowed me to score another goal with less than ten seconds left during sudden death overtime which ultimately led us to winning that game against our biggest rivals who we hadn't beaten in almost seven years which meant that we got ourselves back into contention for winning this championship title after closing out our first day without a single loss against anyone else except for our biggest rivals who we finally beat today which meant that this marked our fifth win in a row against them which no one could believe since they hadn't lost a single game all season prior to this one which meant that we have never been more confident about winning anything after winning five games in a row against them which everyone else thought would never happen since they hadn't been defeated since forever since they started playing underwater sports back before anyone else knew that underwater sports existed which is why they were considered experts until they surprisingly lost their last six games in a row before today's event which is why everyone thought they were going to lose even though they were leading us 2-1 in goals scored until Sosia scored that incredible goal with less than nine seconds left on the clock which was an incredibly risky move but ended up working out as planned allowing me to score another goal right before time ran out sending it into sudden death overtime where I scored two goals in less than ten seconds helping us win this game despite having previously lost pretty badly but still able to bounce back from intense losses like that one easily by matching their intensity when necessary

"But seriously," Lucilla said with her eyes closed tightly and standing on top of her toes while still holding onto both Sosia and myself tightly with both arms wrapped around both our necks with her body pressed closely against ours and a huge smile spread across her face from ear-to-ear after listening intently to everything that just came pouring out of my mouth within such a short period of time without taking even one breath between sentences, "we're really good."

"Yeah," Sosia laughed along with me as we both turned away from Lucilla's face towards each other while she spoke these words intensely while staring directly into each other's eyes while remaining close enough together where all three of us could fit into the same selfie at once if only Lucilla wasn't blocking half of Sosia's face preventing me from taking such an incredible photo at this exact moment in time when all three of us were so happy together
