Frozen Escape: Jafar Versus Jasmine
·
Published 2/7/2023In this epic battle between the sassy Princess Jasmine and the sinister sorcerer Jafar, Jasmine must use her smarts and wit to break out of treacherous icy prisons as she attempts to fight for her freedom and outwit her frozen fate.
"That's it, Jasmine. Go! Go!"
Jafar was shouting at me as I flew off of the magic carpet. He'd been chasing me for the past hour through the streets. As I took to the skies, his eyes lit up and he smiled. He waved his scepter at me and I felt my body freeze in mid-air. The wind whipped past my face as I hung frozen in place, suspended above the city. Below, Jafar approached me with a wicked glint in his eyes.
"Well, well, well..." he said, "it looks like we've got you now." He turned to his minions and gestured to them with his hand. "To work!"
The minions began gathering around him as they floated up into the air. There were only about a dozen of them, but they were all armed with swords and shields and had a look of determination on their faces. The crowd of people that had gathered below us started to disperse as they left the area. One elderly man who was still watching called out to Jafar and me, "Don't let that girl get away, Jafar!"
"No worries there!" Jafar replied. "She's not going anywhere!" He looked down at me and smiled again.
I continued to struggle against my bonds and try to free myself from the freezing temperatures, but it was no use. After several minutes of trying vainly to escape my icy prison, I gave up and just hung there in mid-air as Jafar approached me closer and closer.
"You know," he said as he walked up to me and ran a finger across my cheek, "you're beautiful when you're angry." His words stung like cold water thrown in my face. With every insult he threw at me, every time he touched me inappropriately or harassed me in some way or another, it made my blood boil even more than before. But there was nothing I could do about it; I was completely helpless against him! Some damsel in distress I turned out to be...
"Well," Jafar said as he turned to leave back towards his floating black castle fortress above us, "I'm afraid I have much better things to do than hang around here while you slowly freeze to death." He turned back around one last time before leaving and winked at me. "Goodbye... Princess." And then he disappeared into his castle leaving only swirling dark clouds behind him in the sky where once his shadowy shape had been standing a moment ago.
As soon as he was gone, my body returned back to normal temperature again. I swung myself around so that I was facing away from the castle and then spread my arms out wide so that I could glide freely through the air like a bird taking flight from its nest for the first time. Maybe if I kept flying away from him that somehow he might forget about me and just leave me alone? Or maybe if I flew higher into the clouds or further out over an ocean that somehow I'd disappear from this world altogether? Either way sounded good enough for me right now!
