"So, you're a wolf? That's pretty cool," Jacob said as he sat on the bleachers in the baseball field.

"Yeah... I've been told it's pretty rare."

"God," Jacob said with a sigh and a smile, " You know, I'm also kind of rare. A fox is one thing, but a red fox? That's just weird."

"How'd you get to Fur High? Did they have to stretch your ears or something?" Justin asked. He knew that you couldn't tell anything about someone by their looks alone, but he couldn't help but feel surprised at how ordinary looking Jacob was despite being a fox. His face was long and thin with an emaciated jawline. He didn't have any sharp teeth or pointy muzzle like you would expect a fox to have. He looked more like an anime character than a real animal.

Jacob laughed at that and said, "Yeah, it was really hard getting into this school."

Justin smiled back and said, "I get that. My parents sent me here because they thought it'd be better if I got an education from people who understood what I was going through. It did help a little bit, but I guess humans still don't understand much about us wolves."

A few moments passed without either of them saying anything else until Jacob spoke up again and asked: "Hey... Do you mind if we go star gazing tonight?"
