Rayne & the Demon's Curse
·
Published 3/18/2023Naive young angel Rayne recklessly follows cunning demon Martin into a night of passion, and finds herself pregnant with a child scorned by society--which forces her on a quest to conquer mythical lands in order to take fate into her own hands.
Martin walked down the street, some of his blackened wings tucked behind his back. He had been laying low for a couple of centuries. No one had seen a demon in that long, so he thought. Then he saw her walking ahead of him, as graceful as an angel. He stopped in his tracks and stared, watching as she walked into a bar.
Martin looked over to the bar tender who was polishing a glass when he asked him, “Have you ever seen an angel before?” The man looked at him like he was crazy and answered slowly, “yes.” Martin smiled at the man who then started looking around nervously and said, “can I help you?” Martin turned back to look at the girl and whispered, “I bet you can.”
He walked over to where she sat all alone at a table and lifted up the seat opposite her. “May I sit here?” She turned to look at him with her bright blue eyes and said, “yes of course.” He watched as she took a sip from her drink and then asked out of curiosity, “what are you drinking?” She said quietly, “vodka on the rocks.” He smiled warmly at her and said, “I would love to try some of your vodka if that's alright with you.” She hesitated but then shrugged and lifted up her glass handing it over to him smiling slightly as he took it from her hands.
He brought it to his lips to take a sip and instead drank the contents in one gulp before setting it back on the table in front of them. The girl's mouth dropped open in shock at this act filled with awe at what he had just done before she closed her mouth again and looked into his eyes which were now glowing orange from within as he let out a little laugh which startled her. Martin looked around quickly before leaning in close toward her saying in a whisper filled with desire, “You know I haven't seen an angel since my mother left me there when I was young." The girl blushed while looking down at the table trying to hide herself away from those around them who were now looking curiously their way wondering what this beautiful stranger was doing talking to this obviously odd man sitting next to her.
She looked back up after a few moments still avoiding eye contact but feeling compelled to look into his eyes anyway and she gasped quietly asking softly, “How could your mother do that to you?” Martin smiled warmly at her before saying, “Well she wasn't really my mother...she was my father's lover...and we didn't really get along much...she left me there when I was young like I said...but sometimes...sometimes I wish she was here because I miss the way she used to hold me...the way she would sing me songs...I never really knew my father...he left soon after my mother did...but sometimes I wish he were here too because well...you're very pretty and I think we should have sex together...don't you?’
The girl took in what he had just said with wide eyes before taking another glance around the room seeing people still looking at them before looking back up at him and whispering back in disbelief filled with lust slightly raspy voice dripping with desire, “I don't know...my boyfriend has already gotten mad at me for being late tonight..and we don't even have each other's phone numbers or anything so how would we do it...even if I wanted to...?’
Martin stood up suddenly causing people to turn their heads toward him again while leaning across the table getting closer to her face saying in a deep hushed voice filled with passion right next to her ear sending chills down her spine, “Don't worry about that...I'll make sure you want nothing else but me after tonight honey so just follow me outside okay?’ The girl nodded slowly biting her lower lip as he got up from his seat leaving half his drink on the table next to hers before walking past the bar tender who watched him go out the door shaking his head while muttering under his breath while hearing him say something about people these days being weirdos.
