1. Hooded Predator

There was a hooded predator menacing the streets with appocalyptic world

views. It had become a dark and dangerous place to live.

The police were on high alert, but they seemed powerless against this new

threat to society. They were unable to catch the mysterious figure who would

appear from nowhere, commit an act of violence, then disappear into thin air.

The city was in panic mode as people refused to leave their homes after dark.

Businesses were closing down due to a lack of customers, and the economy was

suffering. There were calls for the government to step in and do something,

but nobody knew what that something should be.

Joe Bloggs was just an ordinary guy trying to live an ordinary life. He had a

wife, two kids, and a mortgage. He worked hard every day just to keep his head

above water. But now he found himself living in fear.

Joe's wife, Mary, had been working late one evening when she became the latest

victim of the hooded predator.

Joe couldn't believe it when he got the phone call from the hospital telling him

that his wife had been attacked. He rushed straight there only to be told that

she hadn't survived.

Joe's whole world fell apart that night. He went through all the emotions you'd

expect - shock, anger, grief - but most of all he wanted revenge.

Joe couldn't understand why someone would do such a thing. What did they have to

gain? How could they sleep at night knowing what they'd done?

Joe became obsessed with finding out who was behind these attacks. He spent all

his spare time researching online and following up leads.

One day while searching through old newspaper articles online he came across a

story about another town that had suffered similar attacks several years ago.

The police in that town had also been unable to catch the predator, but then one

day the attacks just stopped.

Joe contacted the journalist who'd written the article and asked if he knew why

the attacks had stopped. The journalist explained that a local vigilante group

had formed and taken matters into their own hands.

Joe decided that if nobody else was going to do something about it, then he would

have to become a vigilante himself.

Joe spent the next few weeks training both his body and mind for what lay ahead.

He bought a black hooded cape and mask from an online fancy-dress shop, then set

about making some modifications to them.

Joe added some hidden pockets to his cape where he could store various gadgets

and weapons. He also sewed a small microphone into the lining of his cape so he

could listen in on conversations without being detected.

Joe used some of his savings to buy a high-quality video camera with night vision

capabilities. He mounted this on a small drone which he could control from his

smartphone.

Finally, after weeks of preparation, Joe was ready to take on the hooded predator.

Joe patrolled the streets every night looking for any sign of trouble. He would

fly his drone high above him so it couldn't be seen, scanning the area for any

suspicious activity.

One night while flying his drone down an alleyway, Joe spotted a man wearing a

hooded cape with what looked like bloodstains all over it. The man was talking on

his phone in hushed tones as if trying not to be overheard.
