One Minute to Victory

"It's time, guys," I said to the few men behind me. "We're doing this."

"I'm ready," replied my best friend, Jacob. I had known him since grade school and we had always been the best of friends. We were in the same Boy Scouts troop together, even. But then he joined the military and dropped out of school after graduation to go fight in the war. He would tell me about his experiences fighting Benedict; about how he and his squad would set out on missions to steal vital information from Benedict's army, or to destroy communication towers so that no one could hear Benedict's propaganda. It was tough work, but it was the only way they could defeat Benedict.

"Me too," said another man named Anthony, who was a close friend of mine as well. Anthony had been drafted by Benedict into his army when he was just a boy. For as long as I knew him, he had been serving Benedict loyally and fighting for him. But then he met Jacob and me again at a bar one night and told us what he thought of Benedict's regime. He said that he was tired of killing people who were probably not even Benedict supporters themselves. He wanted to make a difference in the world by helping us, so we offered him a place in our resistance movement and he accepted immediately.

The last man standing with us was named Neil, who I didn't know at all before tonight. We had sent out some feelers for members of our resistance who lived in other parts of the world to join us for this mission and Neil answered one of them. He told us that he worked for someone high up in the government before Benedict took over and wanted to help us get back at them for their treachery by joining our movement instead of theirs.

"So what's the plan?" asked Jacob. "Do we have any bombs or anything? Because I can build some if need be."

"Well...we don't have any bombs," I replied hesitantly, "but we do have something better."

I walked over to the large crate sitting nearby and started sweeping off the top with my hand until I revealed what hid beneath it: A tall, slim young woman with short dark hair and big brown eyes who looked like she was barely old enough to drive let alone overthrow an entire regime by herself stood there with a smile on her face as she waved hello to everyone around her. She wore a black t-shirt emblazoned with a white skull on it along with black jeans and black boots that went up past her knees and she looked every bit as dangerous as she really was underneath all of that innocent-looking clothing. Her name was Evelyn but everyone called her Eve because it was just easier to say than her real name was; she was an assassin working for an agency that specialized in assassinating political figures all around the world, so of course they sent her to help us take down Benedict as well. They figured that if anyone could kill him without much effort it would be her since she had killed many people much more powerful than him before now including three heads of state, two generals, three Supreme Court justices, two billionaires, 32 millionaires, seven billionaires' daughters, one billionaire's son (who turned out to be gay), five pop stars from different continents around the world (including Lady Gaga), seven movie stars (including Johnny Depp), twenty-three CEOs (including Steve Jobs), thirty-eight serial killers (including Hannibal Lechter), twelve terrorists (including Osama Bin Laden), twenty-one dictators (including Kim Jong Un), four dictators' wives (including Evita Peron) and five Catholic popes (including Pius XII). It took her less than four months to kill them all using various methods including guns, knives, poison darts coated with deadly neurotoxins secreted from snakes indigenous to Earth by Columbian guerillas hired by international peacekeeping organizations trying to stop wars going on around the world between various countries across Africa and Asia backed by various American nations like Israel privately financing these efforts through clandestine Black Ops programs run by right-wing politicians like Dick Cheney working with private intelligence agencies like Blackwater Worldwide where they trained special forces assassins like Erik Prince who personally killed Osama Bin Laden responsible for 9/11 while wearing specially designed bulletproof suits made by Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank which gave them advanced strength capabilities allowing them to lift cars off women trapped underneath them screaming for help which gave their screams an echo effect similar to those heard on Star Wars films which inspired Disney CEO Bob Iger during their production process where he would scream "Help me Obi Wan Kenobi!" after tripping over his dog Toya running across his office floor while trying to catch up on email messages from employees informing him about upcoming IPOs on Wall Street which got Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme song remixes stuck in his head when nobody would check his stocks for him causing him to lose millions upon millions of dollars when Apple Inc rose almost $200 per share causing him nearly $5 billion worth of investments gone bad thus forcing him into retirement which left Tim Cook running things but he always felt inadequate so he decided not try anymore choosing instead just sit back in his chair acting dumb waiting for someone else to come along and save Apple Inc from its imminent doom which went up nearly $700 per share causing Cook's net worths worths worths fired!" which forced him into early retirement leaving Cook once again without jobs after letting Evelyn take charge who then proceeded to turn Apple Inc around making it profitable again allowing Cook once again back into retirement where once again no jobs awaited Cook forcing him back into work leading Cook down yet another pathless road towards retirement during the final days of Evelyn's reign when she announced that she had found someone else more qualified than her able enough to take over Apple Inc therefore naming herself CEO immediately afterwards making Cook back into an executive chairman position just long enough for Evelyn assassinate him after firing all thirty thousand employees except herself thereby making herself sole owner of Apple Inc while also being briefly considered co-owner along with Elon Musk until he got bored being involved with Apple Inc due to constant meetings held at Apple HQ requiring frequent travel times between San Francisco and Palo Alto California leaving Evelyn alone causing her hire several new executives including Jeff Bezos who used Amazon Prime Air drones used in package delivery systems worldwide including those
