Zelda's Spiraling Quest

On the way back from the store with a bag full of groceries, I stumbled. It was no big deal, but it knocked me down to one knee. After regaining my balance, I looked up at the sky. Something was wrong. The sun was too low, and the trees were in a strange formation. I squinted and shielded my eyes from the sun to get a better look at my surroundings.

The first thing that came into view was a large structure, which turned out to be an amusement park after I made it over there. Signs all over said 'BOTANICA' and had pictures of colorful flowers.

I shook my head in confusion. This didn't look like a forest, but it didn't look like a city either. There were no buildings around except for this amusement park and what appeared to be a small village in the distance under construction on top of the hill in front of me.

A little boy ran past me smiling and waving hello before disappearing behind a tent-like structure. Then I saw him again running through some trees near a lake and dragging behind him what looked like a piece of rope with a box tied to one end.

I couldn't imagine where I could be. I'd never seen anything like this place before, let alone heard of something like this existing anywhere in the world. The only places that I've been to are light green fields with rolling hills and tall trees growing at random directions in the middle of nowhere, and then cities with tall buildings so close together that you can only see roofs from any given point in town.

I continued after the kid who ran away from me and over to some giant flowers that reminded me of tulips on Earth. They were red though instead of white or yellow like on Earth, and they were about twice as big as those flowers back home too!

When the kid reached the flowers he stopped and watched them for a moment then walked in between them until he disappeared from view completely leaving behind his string and box tied to it on the ground next to him.

I picked up the string and box so I could follow him inside out of curiosity when suddenly he popped out from behind another flower nearby shouting "No!" loudly while pointing at me with both hands so hard that he almost fell over right there on top of me!

Unfortunately for him though he managed to regain his balance just barely still standing there panting heavily while staring at me wide eyed with both hands now hanging limply down by his sides. He then slowly lowered his hands after taking two deep breaths saying "Oh thank goodness".

"Why are you so scared?" I asked him calmly while putting his stuff down on the ground next to me wondering if he was sick or something because he seemed really out of sorts just now.

He smiled nervously looking down at his feet shaking his head back and forth saying "Oh no nothing is wrong." He didn't say it as if he wasn't being truthful though, but more like someone who doesn't want to talk about something for whatever reason even if it's obvious that they have something they want to talk about but would prefer not to do so in front of others if possible... maybe because they're embarrassed or shy?

But before I could ask anything further, he suddenly shouted "I'm going now!" while picking up his stuff again that had fallen on the ground earlier then running off excitedly through another small opening between these giant flowers! He did seem rather excited though since he was smiling widely as well as jumping up and down while yelling "Yes" softly every time he jumped up high enough into the air above where I could see or hear him anymore after running off into those flowers again... which left me confused once again wondering what had just happened here?
