It had been the longest journey of my life, and I was beyond exhausted. I was hungry, weary, and parched. My eyes were bloodshot from lack of rest and my back ached from the constant strain. I leaned against my shield, its weight too much to bear on my own, and surveyed the land that lay before me. It seemed as if it had been merely hours since I began walking, but in reality it had been several days. My feet hurt so much that every step felt like a thousand knives stabbing at them; however, I could not stop.

I had to reach the castle by nightfall or else all would be lost. The princess would most certainly be killed and the kingdom destroyed. It is such a shame that I do not know her name; however long she has kept it hidden from me, she shall reveal it when we meet face to face. That will be when she finally realizes what a great man she has on her side.

As I continued to walk through the swampland, my mind drifted off to thoughts of how beautiful she will be in only a few short minutes. Her eyes will glisten with joy as she sees me enter the forest clearing where we first met, and her lips will curl into a smile as she sees the relief in my tired features. She will rush towards me with open arms, showering me with kisses and professing her love for me once again.

I smiled at the thought of our reunion and sighed deeply in relief as I heard the sound of rushing water ahead of me. At last! The river! I could finally get some water to drink!

I had passed through an endless desert earlier that morning and was desperate for any kind of refreshment. Every part of my body burned with pain due to dehydration and exhaustion; however, I continued onward despite my suffering. There were more important things at stake than myself right now- namely saving one very special young lady's life- so I pushed forward despite the great personal cost.

As I approached the riverbank, I saw an old man fishing off of his small raft sitting next to a large boulder that was sitting partially submerged in the water. He glanced over at me momentarily before looking back down at his fishing rod with a slight frown on his wrinkled face; however, he did not seem concerned about me at all. The man simply looked back down at his fishing pole as if to say "well you're here now," so I paid him no mind and drank deeply from the cool river water filling my canteen as quickly as possible before continuing along my way towards Princess Felicity's castle far on the horizon..

Overhead in the sky was a massive shadow looming above me in a dark cloud formation blocking out nearly all light from reaching this part of this poor kingdom; however, there was nothing that could be done about that right now because there were more pressing matters requiring my attention- namely saving Princess Felicity's castle from burning to ashes while simultaneously saving Princess Felicity herself from being cut down brutally by an evil wizard who had taken control of these lands many years ago and claimed this area as his own territory for nefarious purposes unknown to anyone but himself...
