Hidden Passions: Annabeth and Jason's Forbidden Love

"I can't believe you're dating him."

Annabeth Chase frowned at her blonde haired friend, while they walked down the hall of their house. "What do you mean? We've been dating since last summer."

"You know what I mean Annabeth." Piper's blue eyes were narrowed as she glanced over at her friend. "You and Percy!" She hissed his name like it pained her to say it. Annabeth cringed, she hated when people said his name like that.

"It's not like that," Annabeth defended herself as she stopped walking and turned to face Piper. "Perc-" She caught herself before she could finish saying his name again. "Percy and I are just friends."

Piper snorted. "Yeah sure." She rolled her eyes, making Annabeth frown even more. "Look we have a party tonight for the new year, I'm sure he'll be there." Piper smiled innocent looking at her best friend. Her smile didn't reach her eyes though and she was still giving Annabeth a look that screamed 'I know something you don't know.'

Annabeth sighed in defeat as they started walking again down the hallway. "Fine, I'll talk to him and see if he wants to come with us." She tried to sound more enthusiastic than she actually felt about it.

That night, the girls got ready well into the night, getting dressed in short dresses and high heels, while they had some champagne before they left their house to go to the party at Circe's palace. It was sort of a tradition for them to go there every year; it was close enough to Olympus that they could walk there without anyone noticing them, but also far away from Camp Half-Blood where no one could see them either. The night was cold outside but warmer once inside the palace which made it easier for them to wear dresses instead of heavy coats or jackets like usual when going out by taxi or uber to a real club or restaurant downtown in New York City or wherever. The party was already in full swing when they arrived an hour later than expected due to some last minute crazy hair and make up sessions that took longer than expected due to some arguing between Piper and Reyna over who was better dressed that night. They were greeted by Circe who looked stunning as always wearing a black dress with million dollar jewelry around her neck and hands. They gave each other a quick hug before Circe introduced them around the room which went pretty quickly because there were so many people at this party this year, everyone wanted to celebrate the new year together with their fellow gods and goddesses today on New Years Eve after all, especially after almost having lost everything during the war with Gaea last summer. After that they just started dancing together until someone suddenly grabbed Annabeth from behind on the dance floor and kissed her on the neck while whispering into her ear how good she looked tonight in front of everyone else who continued dancing around them while looking jealous because this guy was obviously trying to end up sleeping with Annabeth tonight if he kept kissing her neck like that right here on the dance floor in front of everyone else while not caring about any consequences he might get later on by doing so. Of course it wasn't hard for anyone else to figure out who this guy was because not many guys were as brave as Percy Jackson usually was when it came to things like this when half naked women danced around them practically begging him to take them home tonight straight away but hey he didn't seem too worried about any possible consequences tonight anyways seeing how he was kissing Annabeth Chase openly on the dance floor in front of everyone else without worrying about anything else than enjoying himself for now at least seeing how he seemed happy enough not caring about anything else but kissing Annabeth Chase right here in front of everyone else for now anyways which made sense considering how passionate their relationship ever since last summer had been which meant that there was nothing unusual anymore about seeing Percy Jackson kissing his ex girlfriend here under everyone's noses in front of everyone else excitedly at least tonight anyways because why care about any potential consequences when your relationship with your current boyfriend for example back home wasn't going too great these days anyways which meant that you were allowed to enjoy yourself tonight even if your current boyfriend wasn't too happy with you right now anyways and especially enjoying yourself while getting kissed by your ex boyfriend who seemed like he understood perfectly well why your relationship with your current boyfriend isn't too good these days anyways maybe because they had an affair together themselves a couple months ago? Because they've been secretly dating all last fall? Because they didn't want anyone finding out? Well whatever the reason might be today anyways nobody seemed too concerned about any potential consequences anymore tonight except maybe Percy's current boyfriend back home who might get jealous if he found out about this little rendezvous taking place between Annabeth Chase and Percy Jackson here tonight under everyone's nose after all...
