Insane Retribution

Lucifer had been the ruler of Hell for countless eons, and in that time, he had grown increasingly restless. The monotony of torturing souls day in and day out had finally driven him to the brink of madness. He longed for something more, something to break the cycle and bring excitement back into his life.

Then he met Detective Chloe Decker.

She was unlike anyone he had ever encountered before. Her ability to see through his charm and call him out on his bullshit intrigued him. She made him feel things he hadn't felt in millennia – desire, vulnerability, even love. Lucifer knew that being with her was a mistake, that it would only lead to heartbreak and disaster, but he couldn't stay away.

And so, their forbidden romance began. They danced around each other, both drawn to the other's darkness but afraid of what it might mean. But as much as Lucifer tried to resist her pull, he couldn't help himself. He fell in love with Chloe Decker.

But their happiness was short-lived. The forces of Heaven and Hell were not pleased with their union, and they conspired to tear them apart. Maze betrayed Lucifer, teaming up with Amenadiel to capture Chloe and use her as leverage against him.

Lucifer was devastated by the loss of Chloe but also consumed by rage. He vowed to get her back at any cost – even if it meant waging war against Heaven itself.

He rallied his demon army and led them towards the gates of Heaven. As they approached, a blinding light enveloped them all, causing the demons to scream in agony as they burned out of existence one by one.

All except for Maze.

She stood defiantly before Lucifer, unaffected by the light that consumed their brethren. She looked at him with sorrow in her eyes and said softly, "I'm sorry."

And then she too was gone.

Lucifer was left alone, his army destroyed and his heart filled with despair. He fell to his knees, tears streaming down his face, as he realized that he had lost everything.

But then he heard a voice – a familiar voice.

"Lucifer."

He looked up and saw her – Chloe. She was standing before him, bathed in a soft golden light. She reached out her hand to him and said, "It's not too late. We can still be together."

Lucifer took her hand, his heart filled with hope once more. But just as he was about to stand, the ground beneath them began to shake.

"No," Lucifer whispered, fear creeping into his voice.

Haven was falling from the sky.

As the massive structure hurtled towards Earth, Lucifer and Chloe were enveloped in blinding light once again. When it faded, they found themselves standing on a desolate plain surrounded by fire and brimstone.

"Welcome home," Lucifer muttered bitterly.

Chloe looked at him with concern in her eyes and said, "We'll find a way out of this. Together."

Lucifer wanted to believe her. He wanted to believe that they could overcome anything as long as they were together. But deep down, he knew the truth – their love had caused all of this destruction.

And now they would have to pay the price for it.
