Morocco: A Witch's Destiny Fulfilled
·
Published 2/24/2023Against all odds, Morocco, an intrepid young witch from sub-Saharan Africa, must battle a powerful Warlock and his dark creatures to save her community and fulfill her ancient destiny, risking her newfound strength and courage in a brave attempt to restore justice and peace to the world.
As I kneeled on the floor sobbing, the pain in my heart was unbearable. It wasn’t until now when I finally let myself cry that I felt how much I really loved her.
“I love you mommy.”
But she didn’t say anything back, she just closed her eyes gently and turned towards the wall slowly letting herself fall down.
I knew she wouldn’t ever open her eyes again, but my tears kept falling anyway.
My mother had been raped by a bunch of drunk guys when she went to the market with my father. She was only 19 years old and had me not even two months later. My father never accepted me and left us shortly after he became aware of me. My mother was alone with a job as a waitress while taking care of me all by herself. She got sick very soon and died at the age of 20 leaving me with no one but an aunt who hated me as well because I reminded her too much of my mother. She sent me away to some orphanage and my childhood was filled with hunger and abuse until I grew up strong enough to defend myself against those monsters.
Years went by, i trained hard every day to get stronger so that no one would ever hurt me again. And then one day when I was alone in the kitchen trying to steal some bread from the storage room, those three men came back from their trip to Europe, high on drugs and alcohol again, ready for another round with little Morocco. They threw me into the storage room and grabbed whatever they could find around them to beat me up with. But that night fate decided otherwise, it gave me a power that saved my life for the first time in my life. When they tried to strangle me, I touched their hands with mine and suddenly black smoke emerged from their skin followed by loud screams of pain and anger. A moment later they were gone replaced by three crows flying around desperately trying to escape from their new bodies before finally dying on their own wings without ever touching ground again. Of course I couldn’t understand what happened right away but I knew deep inside that this was something that made me different than other people, that this was what made my life so miserable since forever: people were afraid of my touch and tried to kill or abuse me because of it.
I left the store immediately afterwards filled with fear and excitement at the same time while holding tightly onto my bread in case those animals might come back after all. As soon as I reached home, however, everything changed. The gift I got reminded once more how much hatred and loneliness there is in this world and how many people are ready to hurt each other without thinking about it twice as long as they get what they want at any cost even if it means destroying another person's life forever in exchange for temporary satisfaction of their base desires; everything in our world is just based on money or power these days... It's disgusting!
She was lying on her bed quietly staring into nothingness while crying softly when I entered our shared bedroom again after having been thrown out of school yesterday finally unable to deal with all those stupid bullies anymore who always tried to steal or destroy my food or clothes whenever they could just because the teachers looked away when they did so... Now that mommy wasn't here anymore either, what would happen to poor little Morocco? Who would protect her now???!
