Cobb sat at the bar, nursing a whiskey. He was tired. Tired of running, tired of hiding. But most of all, he was tired of Mal.

She haunted his dreams, a constant reminder of his past mistakes and the price he had paid for them. He had tried to move on, to forget her, but she always found a way back to him.

He took another sip of his drink and glanced around the dimly lit room. It was empty except for the bartender, who was busy wiping down glasses.

Cobb sighed and leaned back in his chair. He knew he couldn't hide forever. Sooner or later, they would find him. And when they did...

His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching from behind. Before he could react, a hand landed on his shoulder.

"Cobb."

He turned to see Arthur standing there, looking as composed as ever.

"Arthur," Cobb said with a nod. "What are you doing here?"

"I could ask you the same thing," Arthur replied as he took a seat next to Cobb.

Cobb shrugged. "Just taking a break."

Arthur raised an eyebrow. "From what? We've been out of work for months."

Cobb sighed and took another sip of his drink. "I've been... preoccupied."

"Preoccupied?" Arthur repeated skeptically.

Cobb nodded and set his glass down on the bar. "Mal's been... active lately."

Arthur frowned. "What do you mean?"

"I mean she's not just a projection anymore," Cobb explained. "She's become something more... powerful."

Arthur's eyes widened in surprise. "How is that possible?"

"I don't know," Cobb admitted with a sigh. "But I think it has something to do with Morphaeus."

"Morphaeus?" Arthur repeated in confusion.

Cobb nodded again. "Yeah. I think he's been... influencing her somehow. Using her to get to me."

Arthur shook his head. "That's not possible. Morphaeus is just a myth, a legend."

Cobb shrugged. "Maybe. But whatever it is, I can't let him find us. Not again."

Arthur studied Cobb for a moment, then nodded in understanding. "Alright. So what's the plan?"

Cobb sighed and looked down at his hands. "I don't know yet. But I'm working on it."

"Working on it?" Arthur repeated with a raised eyebrow.

Cobb nodded again and stood up from his chair. "Yeah. And I could use your help."

Arthur hesitated for a moment, then nodded in agreement. "Alright. Let's get to work."

Cobb smiled and clapped Arthur on the shoulder. "Thanks, Arthur. I appreciate it."

Arthur gave him a small smile in return. "No problem, Cobb. That's what friends are for, right?"

Cobb nodded and turned to leave the bar, with Arthur following close behind.

As they stepped out into the cool night air, Cobb couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope.

Maybe this time, things would be different.

Maybe this time, he could finally put his past behind him.

And maybe, just maybe, he could find a way to save Mal from herself.
