Chapter 1: The Invisible Menace
The year is 2045. Europe is enjoying a period of relative peace, but a new threat is looming on the horizon. An Asian country, the Republic of Zhen, has developed revolutionary missile technology. These missiles, containing unenriched uranium, are designed to explode if intercepted, dispersing radioactive dust over vast areas.
The President of the European Union, Elena Moreau, receives an alarming report from the intelligence services. Spy satellites have detected unusual movements in Zhen's military bases. European military experts are on high alert.
General Markus Keller, head of the European defence forces, is tasked with coordinating the response. He assembles a team of scientists and engineers to develop a defence system capable of neutralising this new threat. Among them are Dr Sofia Nakamura, a renowned nuclear physicist, and aerospace engineer Alexei Petrov.
Meanwhile, tensions are mounting between nations. European governments try to negotiate with Zhen, but talks fail. The Republic of Zhen demands the withdrawal of European troops from certain strategic areas in Asia, threatening to launch its missiles if its demands are not met.
