Quest for a Stasis Rescue

It all began on the crisp morning of April 7, 1543. Our two protagonists—the charismatic and daring Roger and the witty and brilliant William—were off on the great trek they had been planning since they had heard of their comrade trapped in a horrible stasis deep in outer space. They packed up their goods, blasted off in their shuttle and spent hours crossing through the beautiful English countryside as they steadily made their way towards their destination. As they drove along, the two heroes filled the air with jokes, puns, and light banter during their journey. They rekindled their friendship and laughed about futuristic adventures and the possibility of saving their friend. As the countryside began to fade away the conversation eventually shifted towards their mission and the uncertainty that lay ahead. Roger stopped the vehicle, it was time to finally say goodbye to their homeland and greet their future unknown. “We’re off to find a challenge,” said William. “But, as they sail to distant seas, they can rely on us back here on land,” answered Roger as the two looked out into the star-filled expanse. With one last glance of their homeland, Roger fired up the thrusters and soon the two were traveling at an incredible speed.

The two adventurers quickly found they were in more danger than they had expected. It seemed space was littered with denizens, creatures and forces that were determined to put an end to their mission before it could even begin. As the journey dragged on, their creative wit and resourceful nature pushed them ever closer to their intended destination. Near the midpoint of their journey, the duo overhears a conversation about a creature that lurks deep within the blackness between the stars. This creature, Ihminen, is said to be made of excruciatingly dense matter and is hungry for anything from another universe. William and Roger discussed their dwindling resources and their newfound knowledge of Ihminen and finally made a decision they must find the mysterious creature and face it in battle. The two agreed, each would go their separate ways in order to find the strange being. After hugs and well wishes, Roger bravely stepped into the void to face off with the looming being while William was prepared to undertake an alternate mission in order to complete their shared quest.

Although the two had gone their separate ways they were still incredibly brave and determined to rescue their comrade. After days of a harsh and the terrifying voyage, William was able to make contact with their lost comrade, who was still held prisoner in the icy grip of a vast and cold presence located in the recesses of space. Roger, on the other hand, endured many hard-fought battles and managed to find the mysterious creature and has so far withstood many attacks from Ihminen. Time was running out for William and it seemed that the solution to their comrades' release and the way to Ihminen was not going to be easy for either of them. Fortunately, at the last minute, William is contacted by powerful, time-traveling allies who inform the heroic duo that there may be light at the end of the tunnel in an ancient space centric cave located somewhere in outer space. This cave, they theorize, might be the only thing capable of powering the ship and saving their friend. Chatting away quickly, the companions devise a plan and quickly head off to discover this cave and hopefully fulfill their mission.

The closer they came to their destination the more dangerous the voyage became. Roger and William were facing down several horrors seemingly sent to prevent their mission from completion. But, as all stories do, logic prevailed and eventually the duo was able to find the space centric cave Robert and Ihminen had spoken of. Together, they faced of against the horrific creature that lurked in the depths of the cave and, after an arduous battle, managed to gain access to the energy suitable to power the spaceship, thereby rescuing their comrade. However, despite their hard-fought success the danger did not cease. The alien forces were attacking once more and things were looking quite hopeless. But in one final heroic feat, both Roger and William were able to use the tools they had assembled and their wit to disable the alien force and send them in retreat. Finally, all that was left was to go back home. After days and weeks of space travel, the heroes looked back onto their homeland and immediately began preparing to share their story and, more importantly, to welcome their brave colleague.
