Love's Celestial Voyage

A year ago:

Amelia left Earth many years ago when she was just barely an adult by society’s standards. A couple of years older than most people's starting age studying classical music at conservatories around Europe and North America, but not quite old enough yet to be considered an adult in those days when life expectancy was still pretty low due to all kinds of diseases that would kill you before your time if you didn't live a healthy lifestyle with regular exercise and nutritious food every day of your life from birth until... well... death sometimes even then too!

But Amelia wouldn't have listened anyway! She dreamed about going into space ever since she was little! Seeing stars and planets up close - that's what drove her goal-oriented mind into taking control over destiny when it came closer than ever before! When news broke out about an asteroid threatening Earth, carrying an extinction level event within its core with no way for humanity to prevent or avoid it other than abandoning their homeland for good and leaving behind everything they knew and loved forever...

Amelia didn't hesitate for even one second! She took whatever little belongings she could fit into two suitcases (a smaller one holding nothing but clothes while storing most valuable things into another big bag) and left everything else behind without any hesitation whatsoever! If scientists said this thing was going to hit Earth in less than one hundred days after they found out about its existence, there wasn't even enough time left for them to fix it or move it away safely! Amelia knew better than anyone that fixing something like that would take much too long anyway without assistance from other astronomers working on similar problems elsewhere... And there were no other astronomers around with such advanced technology or even knowledge about what this thing actually was and why it would suddenly appear out of nowhere moving toward Earth like that... So why wait? Why live through another day knowing you're doomed no matter what happens? Or worse: thinking everything will turn out fine until you die peacefully after spending your last breaths lying on your deathbed with your loved ones surrounding you? No way! Amelia had lived through all those feelings already during her childhood when both parents died before reaching middle age due to diseases that looked so normal at first glance but turned out fatal for them because they just didn't have enough money at all times to buy high-quality health insurance - especially not during hard economic times like late 2010s when jobs were rarer than hens' teeth anyways...
