A Harmonious Reunion

The ocean. It was so beautiful, so calm, and yet so dangerous. Only the strong can survive in the waters of the North Atlantic. The storm that had hit this day was over now, and I had managed to grab a small plank from the wreckage of my ship before it sank as I clung to a piece of rope.

I was tired, exhausted even, but I couldn't sleep now. The sea lions in the distance were dangerous creatures who would find me in my sleep if I did not move quickly enough. I could hear them in the distance, calling out for each other. My thoughts drifted to the girl back home, in our village. Perhaps she was looking for me right now? Perhaps she would have better luck finding me than those sea lions?

A sudden splash brought me back to reality. A fish had jumped straight out of the water just a few feet away from me, causing a wave that splashed my face. Suddenly alert, I decided to stand up and continue on foot since I could no longer rest. At least with walking you can see what's coming at you, unlike when you're lying down asleep! As I walked along, I saw something strange on the water's surface: a girl with long blonde hair lay motionless on top of a piece of wood which appeared to be floating aimlessly towards land. She wore nothing but some tattered clothing and her eyes were closed. Was she dead? If she was still alive then perhaps i could help her somehow!

I ran towards her as fast as I could without falling into the water and called out "hello!" several times but there was no response from her. When I got closer however, she suddenly opened her eyes and sat up straight. "Oh thank goodness!" she exclaimed as she looked around herself frantically "I'm so glad someone is here" The girl seemed agitated but relieved at the same time and smiled at me warmly "My name is Anna by the way" she said brightly as she stretched her arms above her head making sure to display her figure which wasn't bad at all "and you are?"

I stood there dumbfounded for a moment before realising that first impressions are important so i must introduce myself properly lest i appear rude or uncivilised! So with great enthusiasm, i said: "My name is Piotr! But friends call me Peter" As soon as i had said this however, i remembered that we weren't supposed to mix with foreigners because they might be secretly plotting against us or convert us to their religion if we didn't watch out! And yet something about Anna made me feel like there was no danger in being around her.

Anna seemed to understand my hesitation though and simply smiled kindly at me "It's nice to meet you Peter" she said before turning away from me and looking towards the horizon "Have you seen any ships near here?"

"I....No..no there haven't been any ships here today" I replied hesitantly "Except..for mine..which sank..just over there" I added while pointing to where my ship had sunk earlier that day

Anna turned around slowly after hearing my answer and stared intently at me for what seemed like an eternity before saying "Do you want me to save your life?" Before i could tell her that i didn't need saving because im quite capable of saving myself thanks very much! She continued: "You must promise not to tell anyone about this though" Her tone had changed from bright to serious now and it made me nervous but curious nonetheless "What do you mean by this?" I asked cautiously

Without waiting for an answer however, Anna suddenly raised one hand above her head into the air before making a fist with it and pulling it back down again suddenly while saying something unintelligible under her breath several times in quick succession while staring at me intently. My heart started beating faster as i grew nervous but there was also something else happening inside of me...something relaxing....something calming....like all of my worries had disappeared...i felt free...happy...like nothing could stop me anymore...something had happened inside of me...something wonderful! We stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity until finally Anna broke the silence with laughter "That's how you save someone's life silly!" She exclaimed proudly while smiling broadly at me

She laughed again before adding "And now it's my turn" She seemed excited by whatever it was that she wanted to do but suddenly stopped laughing when she realised that nothing had happened....nothing changed....she looked confused for a moment before realising what was wrong.....Her clothes were dirty!! She began picking them off one by one until finally only her tank top remained "No..no..this won't do!" She exclaimed disappointedly as if whatever it was that she wanted hadn't worked
