The Cabin of Chilling Secrets

"I don't know why we're here," Louis said. "I mean, I'm glad we're here, but it doesn't make sense at all."

"What do you mean?" I asked him. "We got a few days off work and we decided to go on a camping trip? What's not to get?"

"Yeah, but this place. We are in the middle of nowhere. There's no cell phone signal and the GPS just says 'turn around' when we try to navigate back. And I only brought one bottle of water with me."

"Are you serious?" Alice said incredulously. "This is the best idea ever! You've never been camping, have you? Well, it's time to experience nature!"

"I've experienced nature plenty of times," Louis protested. "But usually there's some nature and some manmade things like roads and buildings and stuff. It's not like that here."

"That's because we're in the middle of nowhere," Alice said. "Look around you! Do you see any roads? Any people? I haven't seen anyone since we left the parking lot."

"That's because they went home after setting up camp," Charlotte said, pointing at a lone tent by the side of an empty road. "Maybe they went to look for supplies or something."

"Oh yeah," Alice said sarcastically. "We couldn't go shopping or anything else because there aren't any stores around here." She rolled her eyes at Louis before continuing, "But what if we get lost?" she continued in a mock worried tone. "What if the bears attack us? What if our hair catches on fire from the campfire? What if-" she added before being cut off by Louis and Charlotte simultaneously saying:

"There are no bears in England," Louis said exasperatedly. "And who uses wood for a campfire nowadays? They use gas or coal or whatever for cooking." He shook his head as he looked around at their surroundings. The sun was beginning to set behind them and they were standing on the edge of a cliff overlooking a vast expanse of seemingly endless woods.
