The sun was starting to set on a dusty and rugged Chinese terrain, off in the distance the silhouette of a formidable prison forming from a shroud of grey clouds. Nara, a stout yet busty female kobold, trudged through the sand in search of respite. She had not slept in what felt like days and all the walking had left her with aching feet and an urgently full bladder. "Ahh, if only I could find somewhere to go," she sighed longingly, her skin beginning to squirm with an increasingly uncomfortable feeling of needing to pissing. As she walked, her eyes widening in hopes of a possible location where she might be able to indulge her needs. Nara rounded a corner and ducked back in horror at what lay ahead. It was a prison, with symbolic iron bars and rusted fencing, but more importantly, some green patch of grass just outside! Nara scrambled towards the patch of grass, wriggling her bladder and finally, decisively, created a golden stream of relief flowing in the dust. But before she had time to rejoice, the bars of the prison creaked and lifted open, a surprise guard marching right to where Nara was crouched on the ground with her skirt soaked in her own piss.

The guard's face lit up with surprise and confusion at the sight of Nara before him, the smell of her release in the air telling him the truth of the matter. He looked between her and the prison before him and shook his head, "It seems I may have caught myself a convict...you a criminal then?" Knowing better than to lie, Nara hung her head meekly and nodded gravely. She'd been on the run for weeks and now her luck had finally betrayed her. The guard studied her for a moment before speaking again, "Well, I'm supposed to take you in and put you in your rightful cell but I'm feeling generous today. I've mis-timed my association's demand today so I can look the other way if you want. You don't have to be in my debt or anything. You can just consider this as a present thing." This caught Nara off-guard - despite the grimmest of situations, here was a ray of kindness piercing her solace. She gulped, feeling completely unworthy of his gesture and shaking her head, "I..I don't know what to say," she stuttered, "Why would you do this for me?" The guard lifted a bemused brow, "You just asked if I'm feeling generous today and then proceed to deny it by wondering why I'd do it. You don't have to worry about why. Just think about this then - you won't need to worry about anyone looking for you." Nara considered these words before simply nodding her head - it seemed to make all the difference in the world to her. She weakly mumbled a 'thank you' and furrowed her brow even deeper, still unable to believe her luck.

The guard took out a small key, opened the prison door and pointed to the cell located at the back of the prison. "The deal stands. If you want, I'll stay here and make sure you don't get hurt by any of the prisoners. If not, it's all on you", he said. Nara nodded her head slowly, feeling so sure that if she accepted his offer he'd betray her - she opted to take her chances. With a heavy heart, she walked into the cell, completely surrounded by an eerie, skin-creeping atmosphere. She was unable to keep back a scared whimper as she looked around, listening with fear and trepidation to the cell's other inmates talking and sneering in derision and then turning all their heads in her direction. She curled onto a corner of the ground, shut her eyes open in hopes of falling into a deep sleep, to forget this cruel reality. Suddenly, tapping and clanking shattered the darkness of the cell, as metal bars hit metal cages, and then came from the top floor, a smooth voice - "Where the hell is our brave heroine?!"

Nara peered through the darkness, her eyes widening when she realized the speaker was a man with wings! The other inmates cowered and shrank away, for it was clear this was not an ordinary criminal running the prison, in fact it was a deity! The god took off his wing and stepped closer to her, inspecting her and eventually praising her resilience and daring, describing her as a choice worthy of his respect. He handed her a magical hammer and explained its power – it would grant her one and only wish. Tears sprung to Nara's eyes as she realized how lucky she was - her wish would be with her forever, it would not vanish or leave her alone like all the other bad luck she'd faced up until this point. With the hammer in hand, she gasped in excitement and felt like a child again, feeling the spark return to her eye as she shouts, “I wish for freedom from all these bars!". The sound of clanking and clanging rung through the prison as the man with wings backs away and bows towards Nara. All of a sudden, the bars of the prison bend and break, suspending into thin air as the rungs gave way, setting the inmates free and prompting for an exodus out of the prison's gates. Nara wipes away the tears from her eyes and steps out of the shadows, bathed in a pale golden light from the setting sun. Her adventure had just begun, and she wouldn't be alone on the journey - she was already thankful to the erstwhile kind prison-guard and now – she also had the dancing sun on her side.
