Beckie, Devin, Erica, Serenity, and Danielle sat around the living room of their shared apartment. It was a Saturday night and they were all enjoying some downtime before the start of another busy week. The TV was on in the background, but no one was really paying attention to it. They were too engrossed in their conversation.

"I can't believe we have to work tomorrow," Beckie complained. She worked as a nurse at the local hospital and had to pull a double shift on Sundays.

"Tell me about it," Devin chimed in. He was an EMT and also had to work on Sunday.

"We're all in the same boat," Erica said with a sigh. She worked as a waitress at a 24-hour diner and her shift started just as everyone else's ended.

"Except for me," Serenity said with a smirk. She was an artist and worked from home, so she didn't have to worry about waking up early or dealing with annoying customers.

Danielle rolled her eyes at her girlfriend's comment. "Must be nice," she muttered under her breath.

Serenity shot Danielle a look before turning back to the others. "Sorry," she said with an apologetic smile. "I know I'm lucky."

"It's not your fault," Danielle replied with a shrug. She worked as a receptionist at a doctor's office and didn't mind her job, but she still envied Serenity's flexible schedule.

The group fell into silence for a moment before Beckie spoke up again. "So, what are we going to do tonight?" she asked.

Everyone looked at each other, trying to come up with ideas. Finally, Devin spoke up. "We could play cards or something," he suggested.

"Or we could watch a movie," Erica added.

Serenity shook her head at both suggestions. "I don't feel like doing anything," she said with a yawn. "I just want to relax."

"Me too," Danielle agreed.

The others nodded in agreement and the group fell into silence once again. They were all lost in their own thoughts when suddenly, Beckie's stomach growled loudly, breaking the silence.

Everyone burst out laughing at the unexpected noise. "I guess that means it's time for dinner," Beckie said with a sheepish grin.

The others agreed and they all got up to raid the kitchen. As they prepared their meals, they chatted and laughed, enjoying each other's company. It was moments like this that made them grateful for their busy schedules and hectic lives. They may not have much free time, but they had each other, and that was more than enough.
