Awakening Klara's Power

“How are you?” The young woman asked her only friend, a deer. She had never seen a deer before the day she decided to stop asking people how they were. It was too awkward. Too often it felt like their reply was not ‘fine’ but rather an exasperated sigh. It wasn’t until she met this creature that she understood the true meaning of being fine.

“Fine.” The deer replied with a nod, eyes closed in contentment.

The young woman sighed to herself. Just like her friend, she would be fine one day. She knew this deep down, but sometimes it was hard to remember when she was surrounded by so much badness in the world. So many secrets and lies, so many cases of human evil and cruelty, it was hard not to forget about the good things in life when there was so little of them to be found. But today was different from most days, today she felt like something good might happen, or at least that something good *was* happening for once instead of just being wished for, if only she could find it.

The young woman stood up on her toes and looked around her small town in search of some kind of sign from above, some indication of what to do next. But nothing caught her eye. Perhaps it wasn’t meant to be found here? That would be unusual as usually there were many signs pointing to the right direction whenever she needed them – whether it was through a series of coincidences or just a sudden insight into the solution to a problem that had been plaguing her for hours – but still possible as there were no signs pointing elsewhere either which meant it could be anywhere really or nowhere at all. Or then again perhaps there simply wasn’t anything good going on today at all and she should just go back home and forget about it all?

She tried once more and looked further away from her home, further than she had ever looked before and still nothing came into view except for trees, more trees, fields and mountains beyond that and…

There was smoke! Not far away in the distance! Maybe someone needed help? Maybe someone had finally noticed what the young woman had been looking for all along? She didn’t hesitate for even a moment; this could be it! This could be the first step towards helping others find their own inner strength and healing power! For once something good might have happened! And if this opportunity slipped through her fingers then who knows when another chance would present itself again? Not only did she need to show others how they could help themselves too but also that they shouldn’t despair if they are unable to recognize their own potential right away because there is small hope for everyone somewhere along their journey just like there is always hope for the future although sometimes you may have to look really hard to find one thing or another.

Determinedly, the young woman set off towards the mysterious source of smoke though not without giving one last glimpse at her friend who still lay smiling in his field in blissful ignorance of how cruel the world could be despite everything he knew about it since he had been born into this world already knowing everything he would ever know just by being born as himself into this world as any other animal does with its species would naturally do as well if given half a chance except for humans who somehow always seem to manage to misunderstand this simple fact about life and get stuck thinking that they can actually make a difference by changing themselves externally instead of realizing that change must happen within first before anything else can change outside until such time that people learn otherwise again because otherwise nobody would be able to understand each other anymore if everybody kept messing up their words with unnecessary capital letters everywhere instead of following the rules for writing words that we have agreed upon since long ago because otherwise those rules wouldn’t exist anymore either if we didn’t take care not to spell words wrong!
