She was on her knees, her hands thrown up to the sky in desperation. Her hair was long, but her lips were dry and cracked. I could see the blood trickling down from them. She was the most beautiful woman in the world.
I had never seen her before. But that did not matter. She was mine.
"Noooo!" she screamed as I drew my sword. It glowed with a bright orange light as I pulled it out of its scabbard. "No, no! Please! I can't do it again! You don't understand! Please!"
I knew what she meant, though. I had been there too. We'd all been there. So many times before. With only one winner and many losers, war was cruel and brutal; and we had no choice but to go back to it again and again until one side eventually won or the world ended.
I raised my sword high above my head and swung it down at her unprotected neck. In a flash of light and heat, she disappeared into thin air, leaving only a cloud of smoke behind her where she once stood, just like all the previous ones I had killed before her.
I walked over to where she had been standing and picked up a pair of white panties off the ground, holding them close to my face as if they were a precious treasure beyond measure that a king would give his life for. Amongst all the blood and gore, these simple white panties made me feel alive and human again, almost as if I was reminded of what it was like to be back among those who called themselves 'civilized' instead of killing each other for some meaningless cause without even knowing why anymore.
However, those feelings did not last long either as I discarded them onto the ground just as easily as picking them up, just like all the rest of those who called themselves human beings but who were now nothing more than corpses strewn across a battlefield that looked like it had been ravaged by some natural disaster or act of god rather than what it actually was: Human beings committing unspeakable crimes against their own species against their own free will simply because they were told to by some authority figure who wielded power over them but who itself never understood why they put themselves in such a position in the first place.
But enough philosophy for now. There was work to be done still. There were still two more left standing besides myself: A boy with pink hair and an eyepatch whom everyone called 'Jin-Myung', and a girl with blonde hair whom everyone called 'Yun-Sun'. They were both very powerful; far more than any of us here today could ever hope to be able to overcome alone if we wanted to survive this ordeal without being slaughtered by our opponents without even leaving any trace behind except for some blood stains on the ground where we once stood tall before meeting our untimely end at their hands which would soon be washed away by the flowing river nearby that flowed through this otherwise idyllic countryside when the battle was over regardless whether we lost or won because war is hell after all and hell does not take prisoners except for those like us here today who are essentially already dead but still go on living because we have no choice but to keep fighting until one side finally wins or we're all dead anyway so why should we care anymore?
The two of them were duelling right now though; they didn't know yet that there were still two people left standing besides them: Me and Jin-Myung's older brother Min-Ho who wasn't here today but who was probably going to show up eventually because he always showed up eventually whenever there was someone stronger than him around somewhere nearby which meant that Jin-Myung couldn't possibly lose unless he got himself killed somehow before his older brother arrived on scene because then he'd probably end up dying too because his older brother wasn't exactly nice when it came to taking out his enemies after he showed up so suddenly out of nowhere... In fact, he wasn't really nice at all when it came to taking out his enemies in general so you could say that he didn't really have much choice during those situations either if he wanted to stay alive himself... And you could also say that about everyone else here today who knew better than to get on his bad side...
