The Oversea Odyssey of Will & Emma

The first thing Emma saw was a blue sky and white clouds. She took a deep breath and glanced around, seeing that she was in the middle of a grassy field. A few meters away, Will lay on his back in front of her, staring at the sky as well.

"What happened?" Emma asked softly, but she heard no response from Will. She nudged him with her foot. "Will? Are you okay?"

In response to her nudging, Will rolled over onto his stomach and sat up. He didn't say anything, just looked at her with wide eyes. After a moment of staring at each other, they both leaned closer until their noses were almost touching.

"What are you doing?" Emma asked incredulously.

"I'm trying to see if you're real," Will said absently.

"What do you mean by that?" Emma asked as she tried to get a better look at his face. Her eyes widened in surprise when she realized that he wasn't much bigger than her nose! "Will... I think we might be the same size." She looked down at herself, seeing that she was in fact very small, maybe the size of a doll! Tiny clothing lay on top of her clothing from before; she picked up the tiny clothes and held them against her body, realizing that it was actually very close to fitting her exactly! "My clothes are even the right size for me!"

"I have clothes too!" Will yelled excitedly, holding up some tiny pants and shirt that he'd apparently put on after taking off his regular ones. He then jumped up into the air and looked around curiously at the world below him. He grinned widely when he spotted a rabbit nearby, and ran towards it happily only to trip on a rock and fall flat on his face. "Ow!" he whimpered as he rubbed his knee where he'd hit it on the rock. He stared up at Emma while he rubbed his knee with one hand and pointed triumphantly with the other at the rabbit with an excited grin on his face. "Did you see that?!"

Emma laughed softly and shook her head as she started walking around, taking everything in slowly. As far as she could tell, there weren't any buildings or artificial objects around for miles except for themselves in this field. "How did we end up here?" she wondered aloud as she walked over to a tree near them and examined it carefully for any clues about their situation. She reached out to touch one of its thick leaves but pulled her hand back quickly when some kind of bug scurried across it heading towards another leaf on another branch above them before disappearing from sight entirely.

"Maybe we fell asleep under this tree while we were looking for my brother's rabbit," Will suggested thoughtfully as he joined her by the tree and peered up into its branches curiously. His gaze paused briefly on Emma's form before drifting upwards again to look at the bugs crawling up and down its bark curiously before turning his attention back to finding his bunny friend again so he could show Emma how cute it was once he found it again after falling down like an idiot earlier trying to jump towards it like he always did when hunting rabbits back home without even thinking about how small he was now compared to how big he used to be! If only they hadn't been shrunken somehow while they slept under this tree...
