Lushing Through History: Joe and Rosaline's Nostalgic Quest

I was sitting in the back row of the bus. The bus was just about to depart for my stop, when I noticed a girl struggling to get her big bag into the overhead compartment.

"Here let me help you", I said, rushing over to her.

She looked up at me with a curious expression. "That's really kind of you." She replied softly, "But don't bother, I'll be just fine."

"No really, it's no trouble." I insisted.

She let out a sigh and handed me her bag. It was heavy but I didn't make any fuss about that. I found a slot in the compartment and put it away. When I turned around she was staring at me with a mix of confusion and admiration. I smiled back at her. We stood there for a moment looking at each other until she said: "You're my saviour!"

I laughed, "Well you can thank me once we get off the bus."

"Well then I guess it's time to say goodbye!" She giggled as she began walking towards the exit doors. I followed behind her, trying not to stare at her body too much but failing miserably. She was wearing a cute skirt that showcased her pert little butt and legs that seemed to go on forever! Thoughts began racing through my head as she got closer to the door. 'What should I do? Should I say something? No! That would be weird.' The girl seemed to sense my thoughts because she turned around and gave me another dazzling smile before exiting the bus.

I stood there dumbstruck for what felt like hours before finally mustering up enough energy to walk towards the driver and ask him when we were due to arrive at my stop. He told me it was still 15 minutes before we got there so he pushed back my departure time by 15 minutes without charging me extra fare! That was great news since this meant that I could have more time to fantasize about the cute girl who had exited only minutes ago! Soon enough though, my stop arrived and soon enough I was standing outside waiting for someone to pick me up from school. After waiting unsuccessfully for 30 minutes or so, I decided that it would be best if I started walking home instead so that Mom wouldn't worry about me being late or anything like that.

"Home sweet home!" My parents owned an old farmhouse just outside of town so after an hour or so of walking, I finally arrived at our house! As soon as I walked in, Mom rushed up to hug me and ask why it took so long for me to get home today. After telling her all about how Rosaline had invited me over today, mom seemed happy enough with what had happened but didn't seem too excited over it either way which made me feel slightly disappointed since it seemed like she wasn't even bothered by the fact that Rosaline had invited me over today! As soon as my dad came home too he asked if Rosaline had invited me over when he saw how happy mom was with what had happened today with Rosaline inviting me over today! They both seemed interested in hearing all about how things went with us today and they were both quite surprised when they heard all about how she had invited me back again tomorrow! At first they seemed rather shocked but after a while they started telling each other some funny stories about crazy things Rosaline did when she was younger! They were laughing their heads off and seemed genuinely amused by all this talk about Rosaline's crazy antics as a kid! For some reason though, this whole conversation between them made my stomach churn uncomfortably so without saying another word, I excused myself from their conversation and went upstairs to take a shower before dinner.

After taking a nice long relaxing shower, feeling all refreshed afterwards, I went down stairs for dinner where my parents tried asking questions about how things went with us today but neither one of them seemed particularly interested in what happened during our visit so we just ate quickly before going straight upstairs after dinner where we watched some TV together until bedtime and then we all went off to sleep in our own beds for the night! As soon as morning arrived though everything started changing rapidly in our family life! My mother and father started talking nervously with each other but whenever they noticed that I was listening in on them in any way shape or form they stopped talking altogether immediately which made listening in on their conversations even more difficult than usual but somehow I managed to hear quite a bit of their conversations anyway! To be honest though, none of it really made any sense at all because they kept using strange words such as: "Rosaline", "Haemorrhage", "Joe", "The Green Man", or "The Outback". Eventually though this all ended abruptly while we were eating breakfast when they suddenly got up from their seats and told us both that they needed to leave town urgently on business today so they left us alone inside the house after giving us both quick hugs goodbye! This sudden change in events confused both myself and Chloe who were now left alone inside our house without any explanation whatsoever from our parents regarding why they suddenly left town without warning us either directly or indirectly beforehand about this sudden change in plans for them! Chloe looked slightly worried after hearing this news but didn't say anything more beyond a few grunts here and there which just left everything feeling very awkward between us both!!!
