Death or Destiny: The Highrise Hazard Saves Roisin

It was another typical day in Roisin, the bustling and fashionable city in the 22nd century. Everywhere the people of the city walked and talked, the Highrise Hazard was the topic of conversation. No one was sure of his identity, although the people of the city knew his methods incredibly well. He would appear out of thin air with a dramatic flourish and then stop crime in its tracks. Suddenly the telekinetic vigilante seemed to have caught the attention of a mysterious figure, The Maleficent Mastermind. Within days, The Maleficent Mastermind sent a horde of mindless, robotic zombies on a rampage, with one mission to destroy the Highrise Hazard. The Highrise Hazard, however, remained calm, confident, and knew what he had to do. After a serious conversation with his eight-year-old daughter Adalyn where he warned her to stay away from danger, Zane knew he had to save the city.

In a flash, the Highrise Hazard teleported to the scene of the rampage and without wasting a second, he put all of his telekinetic power to use. For the most part, his telekinetic feats were impressive and he was able to knock down the army of robotic zombies. Armed with both faith and courage, he valiantly challenged The Maleficent Mastermind on the edge of the city’s skyline. Speaking with strength and conviction, he declared, "You don't belong here. You have no power over this city. You have no power over me." The Maleficent Mastermind replied, "You have no idea the power I have! I can destroy this entire city with the snap of my fingers." Highrise Hazard was not intimidated and his voice was laced with confidence, “I may not be as powerful as you, but I have something you don’t, faith. My faith will always be greater than any power you can possess.”

Unfazed by Zane’s challenge, The Maleficent Mastermind proceeded to fire a beam of intense light towards him. But, the Highrise Hazard was prepared; he blocked the beam of light using his telekinetic abilities, causing it to disintegrate into many pieces. Taking advantage of the distraction, the Highrise Hazard advanced towards the Maleficent Mastermind and engaged him in an intense physical battle, just as the citizens of Roisin watched in awe. Mid-way through the fight, Zane zigzagged through the military-style towers and abruptly flew towards his opponent, wrapping his arms around his neck and choking him with his own strength.

Slowly and steadily, the Maleficent Mastermind weakened and soon the Highrise Hazard had the power to end it all with a single strike. But, in a moment of clarity, he chose not to. Seeing the sense of relief wash over both himself and the citizens of Roisin, Highrise Hazard realized the power of mercy and what a difference it could make in his life. He turned to the exhausted and weakened but still alive Maleficent Mastermind and commanded, “Leave this city and never come back. If you do, I will make sure you pay for your evils.” The Maleficent Mastermind silently nodded before he stumbled back, turning away from the power of the vigilant hero. As he faded into the horizon, the High Rise Hazard knew that he had achieved justice and thwarted evil. With a satisfied smile, he teleported off and returned home to Adalyn, content that he had kept her safe yet again.
