Published 6/22/2023In the remote Martian home of Mercedes and Julien, where red skies loom and erotic artifacts lurk, a young couple’s uninhibited exploration of their deepest desires leads them down a seductive path of passion and mystery, as they delve into the pleasures of the unknown amidst the promise of unexplored frontiers. But what dangers and revelations will they uncover on this sexually charged Martian adventure, and will their newfound uninhibited ecstasy come at a perilous price?
"I think we should pack up and leave this place," Mercedes said.
Julien looked up from his work, confused. He had been working on a garden in the back of the house all day. "Why?" he asked, wiping his hands on his pants.
"There's something about this place that makes me feel... creepy."
Julien walked over to her and put his arms around her waist. She leaned into him, relieved by his warmth, the smell of earth on his clothes. He was so much stronger than she was. "What do you mean?" he asked.
"It's just... I don't know." She shrugged and Julien rested his chin gently on her shoulder. It was a small gesture, but it always made her melt inside. "Where did they go? Where are all their things?"
"Maybe they left?" Julien suggested. He pulled away and leaned against the railing of the porch, looking out at the red desert floor surrounding them. The heat shimmered like hot water above it, painting everything with a pinkish-orange glow. A dark spot slowly slid across the horizon, followed by another one farther down the way. They were like two giant birds flying in synchrony, swooping closer together as they crossed over an invisible river between them before veering off towards different directions in opposite sides of the sky. "Two moons," he whispered, "we have two moons here."
Mercedes came up beside him and rested her head on his arm. She loved how quiet it was here, how calm and peaceful it seemed when they were alone on this planet that could probably kill them at any moment if its atmosphere decided to become lethal or if its surface turned out to be too hot for their feet to touch without getting burned instantly. But that was probably unlikely because they had landed right in front of what from a distance appeared to be an abandoned house which seemed perfect for them to live in for now until they figured out what else there was to see on this planet that looked very much like Mars but wasn't exactly like Mars due to its unusual gravity. This gravitational pull forced them to walk with a certain kind of exaggerated bounce that made things like walking through long corridors both humorous and crucial for their survival.
As he spoke, Julien watched those two strange shapes drift across the sky until they disappeared behind the ridge far ahead of them, beyond their little valley. Only one moon was visible now as it sank lower into the red haze above the horizon line, until finally all light faded away, leaving only blackness in their wake with no stars shining above against that backdrop either. Apparently, there was nothing behind the suns except for more empty space, filled with those mysterious darkness-eating monsters called black holes which were supposed to be hiding somewhere out there, engaging in some kind of horrific cosmic hide-and-seek game with everything else in existence. So maybe it wasn't such a bad idea after all to avoid venturing out there where they might be hiding, and instead spend most of their days indoors where there were plenty of other things lurking, like spiders big enough to eat people alive hiding inside corners waiting for prey.
"I'm going crazy," Mercedes said suddenly. "I think I'm losing my mind." She let go of Julien's arm and ran back into their little home, leaving him behind on the porch staring at nothing except those two moons brightening up the black sky ahead before disappearing over the ridge again towards whatever lay beyond it in whatever direction.
Julien watched Mercedes rush inside, her words ringing in his ears. He knew she had been feeling uneasy lately, but he had been too absorbed in his work to pay much attention. He sighed and followed her into the house, the creaking floorboards echoing his steps.
Inside, the air was thick with silence. The only sound came from the faint humming of the cooling systems and the gentle whir of the generator in the corner. Julian found Mercedes sitting on the worn-out couch, her eyes fixed on the blank viewscreen that dominated the far wall.
"What's wrong, love?" he asked, taking a seat beside her.
"I don't know, Julien," Mercedes replied, tears brimming in her eyes. "I feel like I don't belong here. Like this house is watching us, judging us."
Julien reached out and took her hand, comforting her with a gentle squeeze. "We'll figure it out, Mercedes. We always have," he said, trying to infuse conviction into his voice despite the doubts that gnawed at him.
But deep inside, Julien couldn't deny that Mercedes might be right. There was an eerie presence in this house, a sense of something lurking just beneath the surface. He couldn't put his finger on it, but he couldn't ignore the niggling feeling that they were not alone.
As the days turned into weeks, the unease grew. Strange occurrences became commonplace. Objects would move on their own, whispers would echo through empty halls, and shadows danced in the corners of their vision. Their footsteps became heavier, each creak of the floorboards sounding like a distant memory they couldn't escape.
One night, as they lay in bed, the silence shattered. A low growl emanated from somewhere deep within the house, reverberating through the walls. Mercedes clutched Julien's arm, her body trembling.
"We need to leave, Julien," she pleaded, her voice quivering. Julian could see the fear etched in her tear-stained face, and he knew he couldn't ignore it any longer.
He nodded, his mind made up. "You're right, Mercedes. We can't stay here. It's time to find somewhere safer."
With that, they began to pack their few belongings. They moved swiftly, their eyes darting around as if expecting the house itself to rebel against their departure. The walls seemed to close in on them, the ceilings lowering with every passing moment.
Just as they were about to flee, a voice echoed through the house. "Don't go," it whispered, its tone melancholic yet strangely alluring. The voice seemed to come from nowhere and everywhere all at once, engulfing the couple in its haunting embrace.
Mercedes froze, her eyes wide with terror. Julien felt a surge of protectiveness surge through him, and he knew he needed to act quickly. Ignoring the voice, he pulled Mercedes towards the front door, determination etching deep lines into his face.
As they stepped out into the warm embrace of the desert, relief washed over them. Their hearts pounded in their chests but were safe, away from the suffocating presence of the house.
As they walked hand in hand into the vast expanse, Julien glanced back, catching a glimpse of the abandoned house on the hill. The flicker of a shadow danced in one of the windows, and he shuddered, thankful that they had escaped its clutches.
They walked for miles until they found a small cave tucked away amidst the rocky terrain. It was cool and dark, offering solace from the relentless sun that beat down on them each day. Julien set up a small fire, its warm glow casting flickering light on their faces.
Mercedes nestled against Julien's side, her head resting against his shoulder. They stared into the dancing flames, finding solace in the crackle and pop of the fire.
"We made the right choice, didn't we?" Mercedes whispered, her voice barely audible against the silence of the night.
Julien tightened his grip on her, a faint smile on his lips. "We made the only choice, my love," he said softly. "Some places are not meant to be tamed. There are forces in this universe that are beyond our understanding. We can only find peace by accepting our limitations."
As they sat together in the shelter of the cave, their eyes fixated on the starry sky above, they knew they had found something far more valuable than the false promise of a safe haven. They had found each other, their love a sanctuary in the face of the unknown.
Hand in hand, they embraced the uncertainty of their future, trusting that their love would guide them through the uncharted paths that lay ahead. And as they closed their eyes, the two moons shimmered above, a reminder that even in the darkest of nights, there is always a light waiting to guide them home.
