Uncovering the Auric Order

: The port city of Aracus is bustling with ships delivering their wares to its many merchants and craftsmen; however, one package caught the eye of private detective Cortez. A small silver container marked with cryptic symbols made Cortez suspicious and leapt on the opportunity to investigate what this mysterious package may contain. With the help of his wisecracking sidekick, son of the local cleric in Aracus, the two try to crack the case, both of them aware that something out of the ordinary was at hand.

Cortez followed the clues from the symbols, which ultimately led them to a hidden harbor amongst the jungles of a far-off island. As the clues (a mixture of maps, puzzles, and teachings) began to come together, an eerie discovery begun to shape in Cortez's mind; he discovered that the culprit phenomenon he was seeking was of the occult and led him to a secret society known as The Auric Order as the motive force behind the package. As he followed his lead further and further, Cortez deduced that this society was planning a grand scheme to take its power over the city of Aracus.

: Unbeknownst to Cortez was his pace of investigation was intensifying and matching pace with the progression of The Auric Order’s plan. In the vicinity of Aracus, strange but seemingly insignificant events such as multiple disappearances and deaths started to occur, but only Cortez could relate these strange events to the occult cult activities. While bracing continued suspense of The Auric Order’s activities, Cortez and his sidekick started to visit many locations whose secrets hinted to Cortez of the Ulcom Order’s plan and speculated of a possible option to stop their diabolical schemes.

However, with every discovered artifact's secret and the investigation continuing to snowball, it seemed that the cult’s plan was escalating in tandem with the investigation, almost as if plunging the port city into chaos was the intent all along.

: It was then Cortez started to realize the true scope of the Ulcom Order’s power. The more secrets Cortez unlocked and unraveled, the more he realized just how insidious the organization’s alleged plot was. As Cortez played their game recklessly, his puzzling intel led him to uncover a series of murders that were thought to be related to the Ulcom Order’s dark intentions. Though desperate to cut the conspiracy’s web in its tracks, it soon seemed that Cortez and his sidekick were the only two attempting to foil an attack quicker and mightier than they were prepared to handle. The investigation at its deepest darker moments reached a stalemate and only relentless searching and observance brought fresh insight in the plot.

: In what seemed to be the climax of the story and as the suspense thickened, Cortez locked on to Thread of the Order’s plot involving a grandiose deployment of seal-cases filled with an unearthly force of the occult that was intended to be released in the depths Aracus’s bustling harbor. It was almost too late to feign to the demon's reign of terror over the city, but as the mole of Auric Order would soon learn, Cortez and his sidekick was not as defenseless as it seemed. Through tension, courage and last-minute remarkable sleuthing; Cortez and his sidekick managed to gather the resources and strength to deliver the silver case to its keepers and thus thwart the conspiracy and preserve Aracus’s bustling harbors.

The return to Aracus was joyful and triumphant and guided the city and its merchants back to its booming routine. Days later, Cortez and his sidekick return and the sun shone blissfully on the waters of the Ocean, as it casted doubtful light over the suspicions of a seething underbelly of the occult stillness beholder beneath......
