The Pacific Princess' Quest
·
Published 5/27/2023In the Middle Renaissance, a brave princess, her trusty hucow, and her daunting goal to protect her peaceful land and its magical stone from invading dark forces set off an epic and dangerous quest full of surprises and intrigue.

The sun was setting, and the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks on the shoreline had a soft lullaby quality.
The Princess Of The Moon had spent many days sitting by the water, watching the sunset. She had told herself she did it because of the view, but deep down she knew that wasn't true. It was because she loved to hear the sound of the waves. It reminded her of when she was a child, before her father had died. They used to sit together and watch the sunset, listening to the sound of the waves.
There was a small cottage near where she sat, and from behind it came a figure. The Princess blinked in surprise as she recognized her friend Rose. "Rose? What are you doing here?" She asked with a smile as Rose approached.
"I could ask you the same thing." Rose said with a wry smile as she sat beside her. "It's a lovely night for stargazing." She added, tilting her head back to gaze at the stars.
"I thought you were going to visit your family." The Princess asked curiously.
"I was, but I decided to spend some time out here instead." Rose shrugged. "It's not every day that I get an opportunity to see my friends." She replied with a small laugh. "And it's not like there's anything wrong with seeing my family any other time." She added with a sly smile.
The Princess laughed softly in response, then they both fell into silence again, watching their reflections in the calm waters of the ocean against the darkening sky. Neither of them spoke for several minutes as they enjoyed their peaceful surroundings. After several moments Rose finally broke the silence, speaking softly so as not to break their serene mood. "Does he know?" She asked quietly, referring to David-Knight-Lieutenant-General-Of-The-Guardian-Knights.
"Does he know what?" The Princess asked curiously, turning towards Rose and raising an eyebrow questioningly. "And who is he?" She added in confusion after several moments passed and no answer was given by Rose in response to her previous question.
Rose simply smiled softly in response and turned away from The Princess, choosing instead to stare out over the ocean once more as if searching for something beyond its horizonline. The Princess stared at Rose for several moments in confusion before giving up and returning her attention back out over the ocean towards where they had been staring earlier, waiting patiently for an answer to be given by Rose before she decided to just ask again outright what it was that she wanted to know so badly that seemed to have slipped her mind while she was thinking about something else entirely. Finally after another few moments passed without an answer being given by Rose The Princess couldn't take it anymore and repeated her question yet again only this time with an exasperated sigh afterwards which drew a small chuckle from Rose at last though no reply had been given yet again which caused The Princess' eyebrows to raise upwards almost all by themselves as she stared incredulously at Rose now wondering how long would it be before either an answer would be given or perhaps even better still one might appear out of thin air since clearly Rose didn't seem very eager to give her one otherwise however much she tried! Perhaps if she asked one more time it would make all hopes of answers go away forever...she just HAD to know!
