Epic Eras: Legends of Five

"Are you ready?" Victor asked Mark, who sat across from him on the couch.

"Yeah, I am."

Victor turned to David and Rachel, who were sitting on the other side of the room with their eyes closed. He wanted to see what was so fun about that.

"Alright," he said, turning back to Mark, "let's go."

As they walked outside, Victor could see a news crew in the distance. They must have been waiting for Mark, since he had just gotten out of jail last night. The two other supers had been arrested as well but they got out earlier because they didn't use their powers during their crimes. They were just waiting for their turn to get out of this prison-house. They walked over to the reporter and cameraman and stood right in front of them. The news reporter looked at Victor and Mark and said, "What do you think you're doing?"

"We are going to fight crime," Victor responded. "We are not kidding around either."

The news reporter looked kind of scared at first but he quickly changed his face into a serious one and said, "You guys can't beat criminals. You are just kids!" He called over another man who looked like he knew what he was doing and whispered something in his ear. The second man walked over to Victor and Mark with a stern face. He looked at Victor and Mark and said, "You guys better leave now before you get hurt." The first man started walking away from them too.

Victor looked at Mark who seemed very nervous even though he was trying not to show it. Victor put his hand up and created a gust of wind that blew away the second man's hat off his head. He turned around with an angry face but when he saw his hat fly away he started running after it while screaming obscenities at them.

Victor grinned at Mark and said, "See? That was easy!" The two boys walked over to the fence that surrounded the prison-house and Victor started bending it outward so they could squeeze through it. It took a couple seconds but they finally squeezed through it in between two bars that were sticking out slightly more than the others so they wouldn't break as easily. They went back inside the prison-house where most people were still sleeping and went into the cafeteria where all kinds of food was being stored for everyone there to eat whenever they wanted to eat something different than what was available in their cell blocks. Victor started eating everything in sight while Mark just watched him eat from the corner of his eye afraid that someone would see him if he would try eating something too early in the morning like that so soon after his release from jail yesterday afternoon. They spent several hours eating until they felt full and decided to go look for some troublemakers to stop before it got too late in the day when people would start getting home from work or school or whatever else they did during their daily lives once they weren't locked up here anymore like them.
