Ahsoka's Journey of Discovery

Ahsoka Tano, a spirited and independent teenage girl, has had enough of the rules and regulations set by her parents. Seeking the opportunity to live freely, Ahsoka decides to run away from home. She soon finds herself in the vibrant streets of Brazil, full of surprises and opportunities. She quickly learns to navigate the city, finding that her infectious laughter oftentimes gets her out of sticky situations. She also discovers a newfound freedom in the lively music and dance that permeate the air.

Throughout the days of exploration and adventure, Ahsoka gradually develops bold questions and ideas which challenge the rules set by her parents. In the face of sudden danger, her quick wit and agility often bring her to safety. Her newfound sense of grit and courage energizes her spirit and emboldens her to take leaps of faith that she never thought was possible.

Ahsoka's journey takes her to a local cafe, where she finds more than just food, shelter and transport. With the help of Mr. Johnson, an ability-diverse elderly gentleman, Ahsoka finds a sense of discovery yet unknown, as she is inspired by the stories of the man's life; this newfound energy fuels Ahsoka to push further and reach an insight previously unimagined.

Amid all the excitement, however, Ahsoka is unaware that her body is quietly making its own demands. In what feels like an emergency, Ahsoka sprints for the closest bathroom, only to find it is closed and locked. Panic and embarrassment, mixed with stubbornness, lead Ahsoka to a decision to launch something akin to a small coup against her “demanding body” using the unique opportunity created by Mr. Johnson’s support.

In a mixture of fear, bravery, and banter-filled inner monologue, Ahsoka races the clock in order to reach a conclusion for her issue befuddling end. She works and struggles together with Mr. Johnson to keep the situation appropriate, albeit humorous. In the end, a hard-earned victory and with a wafer thin margin, Ahsoka succeeds in her mission, thankful and empowered to never let her body’s needs come in the way of her dreams.

In the last scene of our story, Ahsoka and Mr. Johnson bid their farewell, both feeling the power of support and growing friendship, perhaps to help carry both of them our of the difficulties they had once individually faced and always thought would go alone.

With the help of Mr. Johnson’s inspiring words and lessons learned, Ahsoka has found all the courage she needs to move forward with her journey, understanding that a person possessed with determination and creativity can surmount any kind of challenge--even if it is such a seemingly silly one.
