One night, Mitsuo found himself gorging on snacks and scrolling through an Otaku-only forum for a fix of fantasy and fun. That is, until he realized the pages before his eyes suddenly didn't look like any he saw before. Samurai styled armor and costumes changed from character to character as ‘resurrection’ seemed to have been a term flying around with every post.

Fortunately for Mitsuo, his curious mind consumed with intrigue was exactly what the forum was waiting for and a daring mission was summoned. Resurrected in a new body, Mitsuo soon realized he was no longer in Japan, or even in the modern age. Its distinct direction and unfamiliar culture, Mitsuo knew he was opposite in more than the language alone. Shock spread through him like wildfire as he clapped eyes on himself – a strong, beautiful silver-haired bishoujo.

Back in his own self, Mitsuo realizes he had journeyed to the 2nd century B.C. to embark in an interdimensional adventure of his dreams. With distinct waterways and surroundings that reminded him of familiar anime themes, Mitsuo is introduced to his mission to vanquish one of the most powerful artifacts in all of ancient Egypt.

Surrounded by a ragtag group of unforgettable companions, Mitsuo embarks on a journey filled with sweat, tears and courage to fight an evil presence he could never have expected. As they leave the modern confines of the labyrinth, Mitsuo stirs a feeling deep within himself and a deeper connection with his newfound family — something bigger and unshakable -- that stretches further than his interdimensional travel.

While fear of failure hangs heavy on the group like low fading mist, Mitsuo and his choice of companion come deeply pitted against each other. Mitsuo’s stubborn and somber attitude pushes every conversation to its brink, as he struggles to comprehend the harsh reality of his circumstances. With every step closer to the climax of the story and achieving their mission, Mitsuo struggles to keep up and pay attention to the enlightened advice given to him from the group.

As conflict arise and principles of demi-mortals confront the realities of godly rules and rights, Mitsuo takes time for some much needed self-reflection and solitude, bearing witness of a hidden disadvantage that is woven into his character, interlaced and deep within his veins - an answer as to why he was chosen by the Otaku forum in the first place.

From moments of desperation and clashing ideals, Mitsuo gains the confidence to speak his mind and defense his choices, ultimately attaining the trust of his equally courageous and daring company. Moments of cheerful crescendo ripen their growing friendship, as their stories become desperate cries to be heard.

Suddenly, a surprise worm-hole appears in the depths of an ancient tomb housing unimaginable power, and swallowing them within its warmth. In the flash of a second, Mitsuo’s adversary appears in front of him and the rest of them, an entity of pure catastrophic evil and with powers far above any god-like entity experienced thus far in the adventure.

Right before their departure into the rising sand storms of this forgotten city, our hero finally acquires the strength to defy his boundaries, standing tall with strength and newfound resolve. With the rest of the group watching in awe, Mitsuo embarks in an ambitious assault that no one has ever encountered before in the presence of a legendary enemy.

As the battle commences, the sweet dialical back-and-forth between Mitsuo and his antagonist brings forth a whimsical yet heavy weight of emotions in himself that run against his truest core. With every interdimensional move, the enemy quickly one-upped our heroes and the likelihood of failure trickled down heavily on Mitsuo and discovering his inner strength.

Although the bitter race of interdimensional travel begins to mediate up a grueling showdown between forces, our heroes continued to push ahead on a tired and demoralized high horse. With time standing still and hint of a breakthrough on the horizon, Mitsuo and team hustle to switch up the beat and land a final desperate strike against pure omnipotence.

As Mitsuo closes his eyes and merges his very soul with the mingle and colors of the timeless tomb, he comes face to face with the artifact at the center of it all and memories of a past long forgotten come streaming in. As he stands poised to accept his fate, the eerie pained sound of laughter nightmarishly strikes and knocks him off his feet — plunging his downward in a void that threatens his imprisonment in an alternate timeline away from the rest of the world.

The unraveling of the artifact in his hands and its resolute embrace of the enemies following, our spirit of courage and strength finally appears complete destroyed as Mitsuo faces the ultimate truth. Just when all hope seemed lost, one of his closest allies stepped forward to open the door and intercede, striking the wickedness down with one solid deserved punch and a hidden ability. Reunited at last, pieces of the past unfold like forgotten treasures and Mitsuo comes to terms with himself - his truth and destiny in existence.

As the curtains close, Mitsuo stands strong and taller with determination, humility and a newfound resilience of spirit ushering in a perfect sunset to wear his long journey has undertaken. With closing reverie of much deserved satisfaction, his immortal heart pounded with scenes of rejoicing love and applause, as his vision starts to fade away.

A smile behind his marred face, the young bravehikikomori otaku man slowly closes his eyes and returns to the present day. With a newfound understanding of himself and the world, Mitsuo swaps between a silent respect for his friends, less traveled to the depths of old Egypt, and a fond wishing of a different future shared by all —a future of equality, opportunity and adventure.

And off they went as the dream of a far better world slowly dissipates into revealing one last thought, forever to spend its days in a corner of his eternal mind
